Interested, what’s the tech bros got to say about this one?
I looked at this but went for johnlewis.com/asu…565, not quite as much memory but does have 3 years warranty which for my purpose outweighed the memory
Is there a smaller or 13" version of this?

No Ethernet, no backlit keyboard. Still could be a good buy if the screen is a decent panel but AO doesn’t say.

It's alright, decent spec for the money - though display is TN only which may put people off as many seem to want IPS at this price. Not sure if the case is metal or plastic but it looks fairly sleek (apparently it's reinforced plastic):

You don't get many laptops with ethernet anymore.

It's TN and full HD, that's all they say.

Why would you need ethernet?

In case of the dreaded (and dare I also say, infamous), Wi-Fi drop-out syndrome, etc?.

I've had such issue's in the past, and I'm sure many here too have? (and I'm hedging my bets here, but, I'm assuming so have you too, right?).

I tend to mainly connect my laptop device's via Wi-Fi, but they are just those 'moments in time', when ...

It's like being obliged to buy a phone these Day's without an audio jack. :-(

If I'm honest, I've RARELY used the audio jack's on my phone's/tablet's, but that's still neither here nor there, because it's nice to know that if/when (ofcourse) I need it, then ... lol.

And with that in mind, just Yesterday I was at my local Library, I did just so, when there was a video I wanted to watch on my phone in private, but having it either too low, or having it too loud was clearly not an option, lol.

So out popped my corded headphone's, and away I went ...

It's purely down to personal preference basically?. :-)

Fair enough rationalising too I reckon. :-)

And John Lewis having physical store's in town's (whereas AO doesn't), if any issues arises (or whatever), it'll be easier to get those issue's resolved also, etc.

So fair play to that as well.
