Sharp as a pin and very bright. I was suprised, as DealExtreme do sell some crap i have to admit! lol

Voted hot by the way. Couple more votes and this will be on the hot list :-D

hot! I guess its not for medical use, what will you use it for?

Medical use? Oh god no. It's a toy - use it to look at your fingerprints, or the surface of leaves. If it's anything like the one I got, the depth of view is very small - the device has to be almost in contact with the thing you're looking at, and even a small amount of "shakey hands" makes the view wobble around. Still, it's fun but you won't use it all the time.

for kids looking at creepy crawlies etc

yeah, too big for that home colonoscopy. Well for most ppl anyway.

I wouldn't mind getting a cheap USB endoscope as I'd use it for diy for looking in cavity walls, drains, generally anywhere which is difficult to access. Unfortunately I don't think this one would work as I'm not sure you could class it as an endoscope really as it doesn't have the thin flexible camera shaft.

Rob

If you have a pair of binoculars, you can use those as a simple "microscope" - put the eyepiece almost in contact with the subject matter and look through the wrong end.

There's a cheap kids toy endoscope around if its of any help?

Does it work and do you have a link? A quick look on ebay has snake vision one with 60cm flexible shaft for £40 delivered which isn't too bad.

I've got a draw full of tat from Deal Extreme that I've either never used or used once. I would have bought this piece tat also if my wife hadn't reminded me of the money I've wasted on my LED lightsabre (I bet I'm not alone in this purchase), numerous LED torches (one you can see from a mile of away!), world's smallest microsd card reader etc etc

Sometimes you need to hear the voice of reason

Good deal, but I won't be buying.......... althought it might be a different story once the wife is out of sight making Sunday Dinner!

ha ha, well i love my LED lightsabre, but agree about some other stuff.... voted hot if u need one of these anyway.
