Well. I thought this was a decent bargain, and voted hot. But obviously both I and Dan are wrong. Any reason it's cold?

Well it's been free delivery for ages. Also as they don't advertise the account credit you don't have any comeback on it if you don't get it. If they advertised it you could screen shot it then when they don't credit it you have the proof.

Now I just look for the deals with a percentage off instead.

do they have to advertise it more than a banner and a count down clock on the homepage, with examples of prices and credits?

did you look at the site homepage before you posted

Ditto...

If you go here the offer is very much in your face!

Well followed the link you posted!

So in 3 weeks time when you haven't got your credit and you email them and they don't reply so you phone up and spend an eternity listening to the music then they say sorry you missed out on the credit how do you prove it? As there is no dates on the advert.

Having done some further research into this company and the mixed bag of reviews,
I have come to the following conclusion...

Gavinlewishukd
You are spot on with your comments and they are only backed up by the the fact that I couldn't find an address for this company anywhere on their website!
ALARM BELLS RINGING!!!

I have managed to find it elsewhere so if anyone reading this runs into trouble with their order they can at least write a letter/pay a visit...
I'm assuming that it's ok to put this on here but please remove if I've broken any rules/guidelines...

Surfice to say that I will not be ordering from them anytime soon...:whistling:

The address is on their site ]here

Have ordered things from them and they come fine no problems. It's just customer service isn't great.
Same can be said about many companies though, like play.com.
Think the problems is they don't have the customer service staff for the sales volume. It's hard I know I have spent along time in retail.
But then an the flip side you have Amazon who do massive sale at great prices and their customer service is second to none.

So how do these ACCOUNT CREDIT work? Is it like a refund back to the credit card (real money) or just credit for you to spend with them again?

lol thanks

Its just account credit with them. Normally after about 2 weeks it gets credited to your account.

Regarding this company.. I bought a £250+ sat nav from them via 3 monthly payment, excellent product, I had a problem regarding an order advertised wrongly on the site, rang and spoke to them and within an hour got a call back, they'd rectified the mistake on the site and gave me £10 account credit so got a pair of adidas trainers for £13... Fantastic company...

The credit back into your account worked fine for me, I bought 2 pairs of Adidas trainers at around £55 each in January when they had a 50% credit back, received £55 into my account at the end of Jan bought a Samsung syncmaster 19" monitor with the credit + £34 not a bad deal.:w00t:

I just had a look at their site and it just gives a "Content encoding error" in firefox. When I use Konqueror the site displays but all the prices are invisible. I thought I'd tell them about this so they could fix it but when I tried to contact them I found that there site certificate was invalid. :¬{ I think I'll steer clear until they get their act sorted out.

I've had problems with this mob....finally resolved after threats of legal action.

WARNING - they DO NOT respond to emails, and apparently only employ like 3 people to answer calls.

good site UNTIL PROBLEMS HAPPEN.

BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL

I have no complaints about my first and last order, everything arrived promptly.

That said someone representing cdiscount floats around on this forum from time to time.

I assume this is the same as Cdiscount.fr? They are on crack cocaine. If they're now in the UK then I'd add numerous prescription drugs to that and a lot of coffee.
