Been this price for a couple of weeks now, heat added as its a good film. I know people who have read the book do not like this film but worth £4.99.
It will be 2.99 in 3 weeks when the sales on
Its on SKY MOVIES FYI if you own it,

This one.... …This one.... https://baseorg.uk/press-releases/video-category-makes-every-night-movie-night-as-mega-movie-week-returns-for-2020/

Thanks 🤞
I enjoyed the film but 30 mins too long and reminded me of the superior Reboot on CITV.

I enjoyed the book a lot, and appreciated the details and nerdy depth to the story. The movie cut a lot out and changed some things, but was still good fun

I think one of the main reasons for the cuts was due to not securing licenses for some of the characters. I haven’t read the book so cant make a comparison. Except it normally gets brought up on deals about this film.
One of the movies to really make the most of 4K HDR and a decent 5.0 or 5.1 setup for sure! Love the film as a child of the 80s.

Can I ask why? Surely the 4k uhd blu ray is superior?
Waiting for ready player two

It’s the convenience factor. I’ve got a 4k player myself , AND an aptv 4k box. I owned some films on both formats.

That makes sense. I'm new to the 4k hdr thing but really blown away by the netflix, prime and (limited) iplayer content. I am now looking into getting one more films and just wondered if Apple TV brought something that wasn't on some of the uhd discs but convenience is a fair point.
*spoilers*

Convenience mainly plus I really liked the film
@sddyy Is it almost as bad as someone commenting about a major point of a film, where people may not have seen it yet?

Hi- I’m sorry I may have spoiled parts of the film for you or others- I assumed the VR part of the film was well signposted front the poster/picture and the title of the film. But also the mods of this fine site also told me they would block my comment for that reason too- so I think you may be one of the few to see my original comment (which I can’t remember exactly now) and to take offence- but I accept your point and won’t be commenting on content of deals from now on- only on the deals themselves maybe- thanks for feedback!
I hope it doesn’t spills it to say I found central premise of story a problem so I wouldn’t buy it at any price even free- but for a visual feast in 4k with sci fi elements in the story I can see the appeal for others, at least to judge for themselves- if I’ve spoiled story again please let me know and I will quit commenting, when I obviously should just be sleeping
