But they also point out it's a maximum 10 items per cart/basket so you'll need to put a 99p item in there as well.

The point is you can pay a lot more for same 'rubbish quality'.
Most of this stuff can be picked up in pound shops - the clue to the bargain is in the word 'pound'.
