can anyone recomend a good gaming motherboard to go with this

Bear in mind, if you get memtest errors with products from Scan, they will refuse to refund even if you've got multiple screenshots and photos of failed tests. Absolutely rubbish customer service. Even worse than DSGi imo.

Personally I'd wait a couple more weeks and see what the new Sandy Bridge/P67 combos can do, 1156/i5-7 is now eol and i7/x58 is still a bit expensive if you're not into heavy media/3d creation, offering no real benefit to the gamer over their cheaper alternatives. At the very least you might find some of the 1156 boards come down in price.

Really out of touch with AMD these days, can't comment on the current best gaming setup from that angle.
