Not the quickest in the world but 4gb kit for £35?! Bargain!

Bought myself a few weeks back for £40 and thought it was cheap then!

Even better for those with free postage from a while back...

I thought Vista 32 was fine up to 4GB, why all the doom and gloom for non-64-bit users?

Thanks

Currently £33.34p on Scans Today only. Remember no postage if Hexus member so cheaper than Lamda Tek

I'm going to stick another 4GB in mine (Vista 64) for £33 hey why not.

I have this installed on my Computer and my 32bit XP recognises 3.25Gb

Not really bothered as i'll soon be upgrading to Windows 7 anyway

Vista 32bit only recognises upto 3.25GB of ram, including graphics memory.

Hi Bogart, how do I get free postage? Thanks.

I just paid £40 for these so darn good deal.

Had some trouble with automatic settings in the bios, the odd crash but once I'd entered the proper timings everything ran sweet. I also read from the "ram guy" over at Corsair that this memory likes a bit more voltage. 1.9v but he recommended 2v if your mobo allows for it.

So far I've pushed windows pretty hard day and night and no more crashes.

Also a little point, I get 3.4gb available memory in 32bit XP. you can grab a bit extra bit by changing the setting in the bios for graphics aperture size. Depends which is more important to you I guess.

HTH

On a 32 bit Windows you will see a max of 3.5gb because the rest of the address lines are used to address other componenets such as a gfx card.

Join Hexus forum and make a certain number of postings. Very handy if you use Scan a lot.

There's free postage at OcUK too, but you need 250 posts and 6 months membership iirc.
