what is 4gb hc and in stock

Original Poster

2gb version also in stock!
Credits to wingz for that one

Tronic, your link is for the Sandisk version. That is in stock too, but some people prefer Kingston for reasons like speed and reliability. SDHC to me is a term for higher capacity. It is there specifically because some older technology won't accept 4gb etc. So get this if you KNOW it works!

it does work ok using it in ds toy card

Yeah no disagreeing with you there, but in mobiles and other devices, differences can be seen

Sandisk Micro SDHC 4GB Card for £16.99 delivered (+ 4% Quidco)

Out of stock right now, but worth keeping an eye on (or they'll let you order now and dispatch when they get stock)

Anyone know where to buy a 4GB Micro SD card that is NOT SDHC??

I bought a 4gb Micro SD SDHC and it doesnt work on my M3 Simply or R4 Card I later found out that they dont support SDHC and that i would have to buy a normal 4gb card or buy a m3 DS Real card.

£1 more for a kingston... depends on your tastes, but like I said, there are differences and I listed the Kingston because I believe it is more superior.

I doubt that it even exists. The HC stands for HIGH CAPACITY, which is a print for >2gb cards.

would this be fast enough for a ds

Yes, I have a 1gb kingston and it works fine in my ds lite cartridge. I doubt it that space will cause a difference in speed, especially with top brands. Also transfers at 4mb/s minimum, which imo is v.good.

HOT! always want a kingston one.

Done a little research, this is better than the 4gb Sandisk because that is Class 2 which transfers at 2mb/s minimum, this Kingston does 4mb/s. Hence this is the speed difference I think people would buy this over the Sandisk.

bear in mind though i dont think the kingston has a sdhc card reader included like the sandisk.

Original Poster

Also bear in mind that Kingson gives you a lifetime warrenty (showing off their reliability, I guess), whereas the Sandisk gives 5 years.

So... choose this if you want speed and reliability, the main reason people buy Kingston over Sandisk.

Like Artonox said Kingston (Class 4 = 4MB/sec) is faster than Sandisk (Class 2 = 2MB/sec)

Original Poster

Yay, 100 degrees! Broke personal record

P.S. And please credit to wingz as well, because although I'm not sure who found the deal first, I'm sure he should deserve some rep for mentioning it.

I've had some bad experience with Kingston 1gb mini sd card (for nokia 6280) in the past and have stayed away from them, although i may go for this one for my N95 as 2gb is not enough :-) Or may just wait til 6gb is like 20 quid.

I doubt you will be using it in five years anyway. We'll all be carrying around the latest 4 terabyte cards by then and wondering how we got by with just a few gigabytes capacity.

just to point out the class rating speed is the minimum write speed, so the write spped of a sandisk class 2 can be faster than a kindston class 4... but very unlikely :giggle:

just ordered 1, didn't know I already had a dvd.co.uk account :-D

Good Deal but already ordered a 2GB One

looks like there OOS if it says 1-2 Weeks...

There ain't any 4gb MicroSD. Anything beyond 2gb MicroSD is a SDHC microSD.

Hot deal, maybe poster should have added SDHC to title.:p

Should be good for TTDS.

im just going to wait until the 8gb goes down to that price
good deal although ive had bad experience with kingston and great experience with sandisk. the transfer rate gives kingston the edge.

good price,
any got links to decently priced 8gb micro sd?

slightly off topic, any stock of datel duo pro adaptor anywhere??

cheers guys

I know this is a long shot, but worth asking just in case.

Has anyone ever tried a micro sdhc card (4gb) in a Virgin Lobster tv phone? The original phone spec said max 2gb micro sd card, but that was long before a 4gb sdhc was available. Done searches on google and various forums, but no info.

Anyone tried it?

I can tell u that play.com are expecting the 8gb micro sdhc for £39.99 by the 21st Jan play.com/Mob…tml

also about the pro duo adapter i read it doesnt work with sdhc cards

hope that helps

Nice post, ordered mine on the 11th Jan for TopToy but didnt post it as didnt think 2 weeks delivery would be graced with much heat. Glad I ordered now should get it first when they get stock in. Also have the 4GB San Disk version from Play and can confirm that works fine in M3 Real.

Also worth noting they charge you on despatch so no harm in ordering now and if need be you can cancel later if something better comes up.

Hot.

How many games can you hold on the M3 real on 4gb ?

I have about 55 games on it so far with1.5gb of space still free.

Obviously depends on size of games. Some are 5mb and some are 120mb.

can u test castlevania intro with your sandisk please?

1 to 2 weeks delivery, I can wait but hopefully we get it sooner

54p tracked on quidco as well

Ordered the 4GB Sandisk one for a M3 Real,
