Kingston ValueRAM 4GB DDR3 1066MHz Non-ECC 204pin SO-DIMM Memory ModuleDDR3 is the third generation of Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM memory. Similar to DDR2, it is a continuing evolution of DDR memory technology that delivers higher speeds (up to 1600 MHz), lower power consumption and heat dissipation. It is an ideal memory solution for bandwidth hungry systems equipped with dual and quad core processors and the lower power consumption is a perfect match for both server and mobile platforms. Dual In-line Memory Modules, or DIMMs, closely resemble SIMMs. Like SIMMs, most DIMMs install vertically into expansion sockets. The principal difference between the two is that on a SIMM, pins on opposite sides of the board are tied together to form one electrical contact; on a DIMM, opposing pins remain electrically isolated to form two separate contacts.

Cant believe that your 8935G takes a max of 4GB... arent you better installing in pairs of 2 if thats the case?

Yes, installing a pair of 4GBs would make it dual channel. I currently have the "maximum" 2 x 2GB in my AS8935G. From past experience, when manufacturers say a particular notebook will support a max of XGB of memory, the notebook will usually be able to support up to 2 x XGB of memory. I did a lot of research before ordering and read that not all memory modules are the same (even though they migh have the same specs). So, I'm ordering to try and will order another if it works. I've heard that modules from corsair may or may not work. Might also depend on the revision of the firmware (bios), etc.

Edit: price has come back down to 26.95!

My module arrived yesterday morning, in a sealed plastic bag. Installed it last night and works fine. Detected in bios and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, but my Windows Performance Index for memory stayed the same at 5.7... although, it's currently not operating in dual-channel (2GB + 4GB)... ready to get another, but will wait for the prices to come down a little bit.

Price is now down to 29.33. I would probably get from the others selling at £26 or less (with delivery). CBC Computers currently selling the same module for £26.57 with free delivery.
