First item i've posted, be gentle if i've messed up :-)

Little of any worth written about this item, same old babble.

It's amazing just how cheap these have become, will be grabbing one of them, cheers

Thanks for the post deepmenace, well done. I updated the price field to include that postage charge

FANTASTIC Price. Bought one of these from 7dayshop about 4 months ago for £44! Now SD cards have come down dramatically in price, just bought one.

Great first deal post deepmenace  Many thanks!

this looks amazing, I am just concerned whether it is too amazing for my ipaq.

It's an ipaq 5550 does anyone know if this will be compatible?

Wow, I've been waiting for these to come down to £20. Didn't think it would be so soon. Can use it instead of my CF cards in the camcorder. Repped.:)

They are doing the 4Gb compact flash as well if you look on the specials list.

That will be the same price as the SD £17.99 plus postage

Excellent first post - welcome and thanks!
I bagged one of those can't have too much memory in my new camera, also a bargain thanks to HotUkDeals

PC (8 months old) SD slot couldn't see card. Neither could USB card reader (12 months old). Same result with replacement card although worked fine in my Palm TX. Finally found a friend with a card reader that would read it! Searching on web reveals that card reader compatability is, currently, a very common problem with 4GB SD cards.

Seems there is a problem with reader compatibility on these 4gb sd cards so be warned...

From this:

patriotmemory.com/sup…jsp

It looks like your limited to 2GB, a lot of PDA's wont go over 2GB so its best to check first.

I got an old 2210 which I'm lucky enough for it to take 4GB

Blimey, youi could run the entire operating sys from this, especially good ol' '98.

So I see, thanks.

Happier to use SDs as they are more rugged.

I assume that you meant 'CF are more rugged'. You can kill an SD with a 6ft drop or by leaving it in your pocket, or by breathing on it (condensation), which is why professional cameras still use CF. Nice and cheap for a 4GB card, but it will be too slow for high quality video though.

I thought SD cards would be more durable as no moving parts, but I haven't really researched it, so you maybe I need to think again.

I don't think the read speed would suffice for this...

Why is this?

Might be due to WM2003.

Bump, thanks to ipaq for the reminder.

The SD cards (make= Dane Elec 4GB SD HC) I received do not work in my laptop, desktop or card reader as will not read or write. They stop responding. Support requested and 7dayshop notified of possible return. Running on Win XP. Will notify outcome later.

Anyone else had this problem?

May be due to the format as FAT only goes upto 2GB then it would be FAT32.So if your device which you are using it on only uses FAT then it may not be compatible.

Im having the exact same problem, haven't contacted support yet.

SDHC is a new format and will only work in devices that are HC compatable i.e. not very many.

7dayshop list standard 4GB Sd cards and 4GB SD HC cards seperately but seem to ship the latter sometimes when ordering the former.

Hi thanks for your reply, i'm new to pocket pcs and i'm looking to buy an SD or CompactFlash card for my device, and i fancy a 4GB card rather than two 2GB cards, how do i know if my device (Acer N50) is FAT format? and if it is does that mean i will be limited to a 2GB card? is there any way to change it so i can use a 4GB or even an 8GB card in it? i hope there is

I did like the idea of having an 8GB SD and an 8GB CompactFlash card in it (it has dual slots) and having a 16GB Pocket PC!!

Thanks, Jazon

i use a 4gb sd card for my spv m500 and it works fine. but i also use the card for my sv-av100 sd camcorder. it didnt work at first, first i had to format the card in FAT16 (not FAT32)with 64K clusters. you may need to do this before it works, maybe?

Hi bloodfire, props for getting it working, but is it fast enough to capture video without pauses on the av100?

i dont know how fast this card is (if anyone does please let me know), but the card i use is x150 speed. About 1 year ago i paid £100.

Bought one of these cards to use with my IPAQ 3970. The card I got was branded KeyMem.

Was able to write around 900MB of MP3 files to the card in around 13 1/2 minutes using the £3.95 7dayshop USB card reader, which makes it around 7x.

Not the fastest card but overall a bargain at this price.

Having been supplied with a 4 GB SD-HC instead of the 'standard' SD 4GB card I returned it for replacement. I asked 7dayshop when I could expect to receive the replacement as I had sent it back on Saturday 3rd February.
First they asked, how I sent it, then, if I had a postal receipt and now when did I send it?http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/confused-smiley-013.gif

Absolutely awful customer service. I have had to return 3 incorrectly supplied items, 1 faulty item and a fake Nero 7 from my last 3 orders.

got mine today and i cant get it to format either
it keeps telling me the card is full this is in my kodack p880 camera
on the pc it tells me there is nothing in the card
tried it in another digital camera and same problem wontformat
contacted 7dayshop by email and got an immediate reply telling me to return it but after reading all this fat 32 malarky i dont know if its broken or not now

well well well
according to the kodak website 4gb cards dont work in the p880
have to get back intouch with 7dayshop now and see if they will let me swop for a compatable card
