Cheapest I've seen one of these, just ordered. I saw on these forums there was a 4GB one at mymemory for £17.99, but with £4 delivery, so this works out cheaper.

Hope I did everything right, first deal post!

Good one

Great price Flux101, and well done on your very first deal post! It's definitely a worthy item!

could this be used on Vista as Readyboost?

Good spot Flux101, thanks

Good price, also found this 2GB one which I thought was quite cool looking for £11.95 delivered.

I don't think so. Though you need to check the specs.

Here's a nice user compiled list of usb sticks that have been found to work or not work for ReadyBoost...

grantgibson.co.uk/mis…st/

Note if your device is not on that list it does not mean it won't work. It simply means that someone else with the same device has not submitted a result for it yet.

Great price ordered one today cheers..:)

Why would you want to use a 4gb stick for readyboost ... it only requires 256mb .... im using a old pny attache 512mb ....

Well, it arrived this morning for me (never known Amazon so quick with free delivery, only ordered it on Tuesday!)... and I'm pretty impressed, quite a lot smaller than I thought, which is obviously good, and the colour is a slightly more manly blue than the purpley photos above.

Have you actually used it yet and how is the read/write speed, reason I ask is cos alot of these cheapy drives have crap read/write speeds !

I stuck a few files on to test it, but it was only about 10MB. Transferred OK, but obviously I'd be able to say the speed better if I'd done a couple of GB. I'll try it out in a bit though and let you know.

i have the 1gb version and they are faster than most cheapo ones

i get 5.5MB/s (megabyte not bit, that equates to 44Mb/s) write

and 12.2MB/s read or 97Mb/s

those speeds are more than any normal use will require

if you are after a USB stick purely for Windows ReadyBoost you can get speeds 2-3x faster than that for not much more money.
