This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Dedicated Data Plan - One for few people like me who can't get broadband from the local exchange.

If like me, you know EE has the strongest signal and fastest network speed they have dropped the prices of their 200gb 4GEE package.

200Gb - £60 £50 (previously £70) per month.
update 6th Oct > Price Dropped again!

Optional contract length:
18 month contract = free 4gee router
30 day rolling contract = £100 upfront for the router << stick it on eBay!

Data SIMs don't get throttled like mobile SIM's after certain thresholds.

Not everyone lives on a street. My parents live a couple of miles into the middle of a forest down Forestry Commission tracks, obviously they don't have any cables going to/from anywhere other than their land / generator so they would deffo use this. - I think they're paying about £40 p/m for 50GB so this is great!

It kills me every day Mark.. when you come home and someones left a device connected.. it auto updated.. and drained the allowance!

I don't blame people for voting cold. Not having broadband on tap is an expensive first world problem!
I am in the same boat so know how rubbish data deals can be. This is a good price for the amount of data. There are schemes for rural areas that usually pay for most the equipment up front and installation. I looked at both satellite and 4g internet and found 4g to be the cheaper option for me. Literally the best deal I could get was all the equipment (router and receiver attached to roof) for free as part of the grant but 30 quid a month for 30gb of data. So annoying that you can get better data deals with minutes and texts included! Anyway, luckily as phone is on ee I can switch data between contracts but will definitely be trying to get a better data deal come November!
Could this be added to the data share plan?

So could move some of this data to a cheap £7.50 standard SIMO

Voted hot. I'm in the poor first world people. I could have a 1.2mbps ADSL connection but no fibre.

Yes you can. I do it between my 2 ee contracts and 1 of them is data only. You would also be eligible for a grant for equipment with that speed

That explains it...I should shift all my data to my data only sim then. When I renew I will get the cheapest and lowest data only sim and high phone data contract sim and shift the data over!

Must be soul destroying when that happens and you only have a few gb left, on a serious note once you have this router can you then put any 4g sim card in it ? If you can would it not be better to get two virgin mobile 100gb sim only deals at £20 each when the deals on ? Or even better if you have a family member or friend with virgin broadband they can get a unlimited data sim off virgin for £25 and set the direct debit from your bank. Obviously only if the speed and signal is similar to EE in your area, i get 66 mbps off virgin mobile in my house so not much lower than EE.

I currently run a 3 mifi at £14 for 40gb but hammer the go binge with Netflix.

Have two EE simo at £20pm for 40gb (each) so manage (only just) to share everything out but we have to be very proactive with the sky planner so as not to need to use iPlayer etc.

The Xbox has auto download switched off and I dread the Microsoft updates on windows.

Still tied in on 3 until next year but tempted to take this out alongside and see how they compare. Average monthly through the 3 device of 120gb (Inc binge) so is very doable.

I thought I was the only one in the UK that worked like that! lol
iOS hurts.. I've blocked the phones at the router as iOS kept sharing WIFI networks between devices and switching wireless on and syncing photos and downloading updates!

Easy to achieve AYCE 4G data on 3 at £19/m without haggling on 12m contract; tethered via some select modern handsets (or near-any pre-Marshmallow handset) via Foxfi app and Foxfi key. If your 40GB was a typo of the 30GB plan you can likely achieve same AYCE 4G data for £17/m without extending any existing contract.
Microsoft updates you can change to a metered connection so it doesn't auto update.

Easier to achieve it take out a existing customer new 3 sim contract 30gb on offer now for £16 with £60 Quidco cashback go to three uk chat depends who you get at the end some agent will say your not allowed some agents will make you happy for becoming a new three customer. (Remember do it before your 14 days cooling period I did moan I wanted to pay a extra £2 for the 100gb £18 they said no a couple of times next.)
I asked hence about my unlimited minutes I will never ever use drop me down to 600 minutes came back with £14 600minutes AYCE 30gb hotspot and unlimited text with binge only 20 days old contract and if my £60 cashback comes in March win win.

Nothing to lose at the end of the day always try it can be done even your in contract.

It might well be but what else would you suggest?

Three do an unlimited date, txt & calls sim for £27 (12m contract) or £32 (1m contract) on the advanced plan. Its apparently literally "all u can eat". See attached. Think im going for it
