Price includes delivery and import charges. This hits the UK in a few days at £80. Cheaper to import from Amazon.com and save a tenner. Product will come with usa power plug, but not an issue as you can power off a TV's usb port, which is why peeps buy this model anyway.

Services include:

Now TV
Netflix
Amazon Instant
Google Play
PLEX (now with live TV and soon DVR Plexpass required)
Youtube
Hulu (VPN required etc)
HBO (VPN required etc)
Ad support free movies from Roku
UK domestic apps

NO OTHER DEVICE CAN PROVIDE SO MUCH CONTENT, BAR NONE!
YOU WON'T BE BOMBARDED BY ADDS LIKE YOU DO ON AMAZON DEVICES

indeed at this price its a real rival to the new Amazon fire stick, which erm doesn't look like a stick with the added bonus of Now TV and Google Play etc.

I calculated this last night and it came around £75, this was with the 2nd/medium shipping option.
Did you by any chance chose the 1st option which takes a long time to deliver

Yes. I tend to find Amazon deliver quicker than expected regardless.

Wouldn't this be restricted on UK content like the roku premier + was?

I imported a premier + and could never use iplayer/itv player/channel 5 od on it. I only needed it for plex and YouTube so it weren't a big deal for but I just thought I'd ask.

Hopefully since this will be officially available in the UK, apps like BBC iPlayer will be certified for this stick and will work in time

I also have 3600 stick love it covers everything you could ever need plex catchup tv and IPTV that can now be had for £41.95 delivered on amazon

Too risky buying from the USA. Cold from me even though I love Roku.

Good price, but I'm happy waiting for it to release in UK.

Not a comment, but a question???
If this stick comes with US subscription content, any ideas how to access them in the UK, ie recently downloaded the WAWA app in an attempt to get a better deal on watching UK Football via VPN, but when attempting to pay for the service it required a zip code to be associated with the credit card, obviously living in the UK I only have post code, do you know if this is the same for all the services, US netflix/Hulu etc. Hope you can see where I am coming from, Many thanks

I have an American cousin who helps with the payment side of things, there are other work arounds though.

Nah, it's on their own website (roku.com/uk) for £79.99.

It says Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco and Costco will be selling it.

I've pre ordered it from amazon uk for £79 a few days back

Anyone know if you can cast to Netflix using your voice with these via Google home/alexa etc?

I have been considering buying a Roku recently. I noticed, that the updated Roku 3 had voice search on the remote, but Roku never released this version in the UK.

On the Roku, UK website they never mention voice search, but on US sites voice remote is quite prominently touted. I suppose, no one will really know, if a voice remote, is included in the UK version, until this is available to buy in the UK, in a few days. I know you could use the app, but I would prefer it on the remote.

The problem is that it's not a UK roku. Good luck getting the correct apps to show.

She is right about iPlayer, but every other service works for me.

can you access local files from a nas device?

There is an app, but you can only play MP4 I think

So to those that imported this, does the voice search on the remote work? Are UK services such as NOW TV, and BBC Iplayer working?

This is now £49.66 with AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping.

Yes I noticed this earlier today. All UK services work except BBC iplayer as region locked for some reason. Also comes with voice remote. I think its a small sacrifice to get a cheaper Roku and voice control by losing iplayer.

£44 DELIVERED tempted now is it worth it over 3600r which i imported earlier in the year

It does 4k, hdr and has a voice control for searching netflix and amazon etc your choice really.

This price is very very tempting but I mainly watch Amazon and iPlayer which I can get on my TV and Blu Ray player. I'm not sure I would play Hulu and HBO very often if at all to be honest. There are other ways of acquiring content

Try playon cloud it's an easy way to record American content. App is on iPhone. With Google play you need an American Gmail sign up. Hola works chrome. access Netflix America among others, record then use the playon app on Roku to watch. No illegal downloads. No chance of being told off. Record in hd. Credits per recordings are about 12 pence each. playon.tv/off…ud/

Hmm interesting. It definitely would make Netflix more palatable but I would want 4k HDR streaming (I'm picky I know LoL). So if I'm not going to get that, then for the occasional Netflix things I watch it still may not be worth it. I think I am little spoiled being an Amazon prime customer and having "other" ways to get the occasional Netflix item. In fact if their pricing was better I would probably have already subscribed to them. Excellent suggestion though that I will definitely keep in mind, Roku or no Roku.
