Normally £4199!?!?!?
If the review weren't so bad i's snap this up! apparently the power supply cant supply enough juice to maintain usage when under load. The system just runs out of juice until it shuts off even when plugged in >.<

Thats the normal price when it isnt on offer according to their website I would never think about buying it for that price, but at this reduction... (reduced to clear most likely as its an older model)

Who in clear min would pay £4199 for laptop with 7th gen processor & 1080nvidia....Even at £1499 it seems to be a bit too much considering throttling...

It’s a marketing trick to make you think you’re getting a good deal, but in reality you’re not...

3 year old processor
3 year old graphics card
3 year old laptop

Not worth £1499

me and my wife are on the look out for a gaming laptop for us to share that is under £1k (the less, the better due to having two kids) - if you have any suggestions, please can you PM me? ^_^ (Ive been out of the tech world for about 5 years now due to becoming a parent so not up to date with it all)
There’s a few on here with a rtx2060 and i7-8750h I think its called for under £1000 which would be a good deal for you

Just get a helios 300 if your on a budget and need something with good cooling, 1660ti and sometimes the rtx 2060 version is £999

So, we bought ASUS ROG STRIX... Hard to admit - crap... Not so fast (we can compare) and battery... WOW! We are simply not using it - you need to charge all the time. It does not matter playing you are or not - just charge. So, I would say - stay away from ASUS. And I think most of the reviews are fake ones...

Are you expecting decent battery life on a gaming laptop?

The Helios 300 is without a doubt the best bang for buck gaming laptop right now. Thje i5 9300 version is cheaper but you really want the 6 core i7 for some futureproofing. amazon.co.uk/Ace…8-6

That said if you can wait a month or so, the new Ryzen 4800H equipped laptops will be coming out and the ASUS TUF 15 with the 1660 Ti or RX 5600M should be priced around the £1000 mark, and offer superior all around performance than the current Intel 9th gen CPUs, so I'd recommend you wait for those.

Yes, especially if I am looking you tube and mail. Some 3 hours without charge would be ok, but 2... Come on.
Much better would be stationary "laptop" - what is the difference - just charge.
