Shaun of the Dead

There comes a day in every man’s life when he has to get off the couch…and kill some zombies. When flesh-eating zombies are on the hunt for a bite to eat, it’s up to slacker Shaun (Simon Pegg) and his best pal Ed (Nick Frost) to save their friends and family from becoming the next entrée. Novelist Stephen King gushes Shaun of the Dead is “a 10 on the fun meter and destined to be a cult classic” and Newsweek calls it “a bloody hoot!”

Hot Fuzz

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is a big-city cop who can’t be stopped– but he’s making everyone else on the force look bad. When he is reassigned to a small, quiet town, he struggles with this new, seemingly idyllic world and his bumbling partner (Nick Frost). Their dull existence is interrupted by several grisly and suspicious accidents, and the crime-fighting duo turn up the heat and hand out high-octane, car-chasing, gun-fighting, big-city justice in this hilarious hit critics are calling, “Outrageous! Uproariously Funny!” (Thelma Adams, US Weekly)

The World's End

Twenty years after their first epic pub crawl attempt, the “five musketeers” reunite to complete the ultimate challenge– one night, five friends, twelve bars – a boozy quest on which only the strongest will survive. They soon realise that reaching their final pub, The World’s End, may be the least of their troubles. They’re having the time of their lives, ready to take on the world…but tonight they may have to save it. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reteam with director Edgar Wright in this wildly entertaining thrill ride that critics call “sheer comic perfection” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone).

Meet the characters from the 3 movies

Electronics store employee Shaun loses all motivation (and his girlfriend Liz) after years of being stuck in the same boring routine. This London slacker may have shuffled through his life like a zombie, but once he starts battling the actual undead, Shaun finally learns what it means to be alive.

Affable slob and unemployed couch surfer Ed is Shaun’s oldest and most loyal friend. Though he has been useless for most of his adult life, Ed finds purpose (and untapped heroism) while protecting his friends during the zombie apocalypse.

Nicholas Angel

After being forcibly transferred from his London police department for making his fellow officers look bad with his prodigious arrest record, no-nonsense cop Nicholas Angel arrives in Sandford as the sleepy hamlet’s newest constable. Though Nicholas is initially dismayed by his oafish partner Danny and calls to subdue belligerent swans, he soon discovers that under Sandford’s facade of tranquility lies the most thrilling case of his entire career.

Danny Butterman

Good-natured constable Danny Butterman spends his days patrolling the quiet streets of Sandford while fantasizing about the gun fights and car chases of his beloved cop films. But when Danny partners up with Nicholas Angel, he finally has the chance to make all of his action hero-dreams come true.

Gary King

Perpetually stuck in his teenage glory years, Gary King’s life has been plagued by bad decisions and substance abuse problems ever since. But when a drunken night out with his childhood friends turns into an epic battle for survival, this immature loser may be humanity’s best (and only) hope.

Steven Prince

After their failed attempt at the Golden Mile, Steven Prince moved away to begin a career in construction. Despite his great annoyance with Gary, Steven agrees to return for another attempt at the pub crawl and finds an unexpected chance to reconnect with the girl of his dreams.

Having sworn off alcohol (and all contact with Gary) after a drunk driving accident, lawyer Andy Knightley reluctantly agrees to join his old friends for the Golden Mile. But after his first encounter with the Blanks, Andy will need something a bit stronger than water to calm his nerves.

Oliver Chamberlain

Now a successful real estate agent, Oliver Chamberlain decides to recreate the drunken antics of his youth with his old friends. Though he only lasted halfway through their first attempt at the Golden Mile before getting sick, Oliver soon discovers there are much worse ways for a pub crawl to prematurely end.

Quite dear for Shaun of the Dead and two coasters
Did see this yesterday and thought seemed ok price but starting reading the reviews at least up to hot fuzz which isnt a great transfer and barely an upgrade from the bluray.

Similar to Serenity. Barely an upgrade on picture but if you have an Atmos setup then sound should be a massive upgrade.

Shame the worlds end was such a poor film
I'm a slasher and must be stopped!
It's something I'd grab at 20 quid otherwise I'll stick to the bluray trilogy.
No luck catchin' them swans then?

This. The other two were great, but world's end was definitely a crusty juggler.
Is it sad that I saw Cornetto trilogy and knew exactly what films it was referring to?
Wicker Man was on the other weekend too.
