Bit long in the tooth at two years old and has mixed reviews (based on £150 for 2TB) but for a first timer this is a great deal for a 4TB NAS

£110 for a 4tb drive is a bargain, the enclosure is effectively free.

Dont think this includes the 4tb drive ??

Don't think they can advertise it as a 4TB if its not got the drive. Its not listed as an enclosure only.

It does yes, it's a single bay NAS.

Gumballpaul. Why call it a 4tb NAS if it didn't have a drive?? surely it would just be advertised as just an enclosure.

I think it does include the 4tb HDD, all the other specify "enclosure" but this doesn't, its also got a line that states : number of drives: 1, at this price its idiotically cheap!

Hard Drive
Type HDD
Interface Type SATA 3Gb/s
Capacity 1 x 4 TB

Ordered one. 14 left in stock. Bargain. Thanks

didn't need one but at this price its worth a punt, I can populate it from two of older drives ( which will go to Ebay to part fund this ) and take a load off my PSU...nice find, thanks

Great price heat added thanks

It does have very poor reviews, only usb 2.0 and very few apps as far as I'm aware...btw, anyone got one of these? what's your feedback?

Great price but I'm guessing I'd need to buy Synology for Plex transcoding.

rather purchase the netgear ready nas rn 102 with only 1tb from dabs for about 110

I think you're right, but if anyone knows of a cheeky getaround, I'd love to hear it!

Thats like saying I would rather buy a small sports car than a 7 seater. Might cost the same but useless if you have 5 kids and need the space!

for the price who gives a crap about the enclosure, it's a cheap 4tb drive that happens to be in a NAS box, bin the enclosure, it doesn't matter. Oh and the USB 2 is for data transfer, there is also a network port attached to this thing, for the money I'm prepared to take a punt.

Gonna give this one a go.

Price doubled

Gonna give this one a go.

It's £199.56 now.

I think the picture is wrong, ebuyer's picture suggest it's a dual drive NAS, however Buffalo's description of the 410 is a single drive. Therefore no raid safety with this NAS.

Managed to resist! .........Yay!

AT LAST - I've managed to resist a bargain HUK HD Storage Deal.......... when it was still available..............yay!

I may have to go into recovery mode though

is it not better to have two bays of 2Tb each, as one drive then mirrors the other just in case one of the drives fails??
