Ive been looking at portable HDDs all say i naturally typed portable haha. My bad guys

yes good price. you could carry in backpack, so I guess its portable

From what i've been reading about these 4tb drives, you can not take them out of the case they come in and use them as internal, something in the firmware + case controller. whilst £100 is good for a 4tb drive. I'm staying well clear. if the controller in the case goes funny which can happen the hdd becomes a door stopper.

Some users here have already said they were able to strip the drive from the enclosure to use as internal
