Not as good as the last deal but still a decent price on these. Was looking around today and found that ebay had the 20% code on again which is perfect timing.

4 x Uniroyal RainSport 3 Performance Road Tyres - 225 45 17 91Y The RainSport 3 is a tyre that has been designed for a sporty performance whatever the weather. Suitable for fast, sporty cars, including high performance vehicles, SUVs, and small cars.

Aquaplaning

The RainSport 3 is Uniroyal's latest generation tyre that features 'Shark Skin Technology'. Inspired by its marine namesake, the tyre has a flow-optimised tread structure that minimises water turbulence and aids fast water drainage. You'll experience optimum aquaplaning protection and peak performance in the wet. Awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, judges praised its innovative technology and its clear, unique performance promise.

Handling

Thanks to the RainSport 3's special tread pattern the tyres contact patch is increased on wet roads so you can zip around with confidence, steering in control.

The RainSport 3 is rated grade A on the EU tyre label for wet grip, indicating the highest possible performance in wet and rainy conditions.

Grip

Fast curve configuration and flexible tread blocks increase the area in which forces are transmitted to the roads. So even when you take a corner at speed, the RainSport 3 will keep its grip.

Lasted me about 10-12k miles.
Really disappointed. Paid £70 per tyre+£10 fitting.
Bought for £92 per tyre and fitter Goodyear Asymmetric 3. Already done 30k miles and still got plenty thread left.
I won't recommend them.

Great tyres. Had them on all corners of the last Jag.
Rated "A" for rain and "C" for economy.

But you have to allow for about £10 per tyre for fitting etc

Yeah that's what I've had to factor in. But the saving pays for that so not terrible.
Impressive, I've just looked at my history and my last pair (2!!) cost £170 fitted.
They are soft and wear quick but definitely worth the money.

I never drove like a tit, and found they lasted me a reasonable time, and certainly saved me from some further serious damage when somebody crossed lanes and decided they didn't like the Jag (or the driver). At least one of us survived that head on collision.
Having tried to be enthusiastic on a wet roundabout one time, they did not disappoint.

That's what I said. Don't drive like a tit they only last reasonable time instead of long time. I think these tyres have deeper groves by 1 or 2 mm to compensate for high wear. Good tire but keep in mind it does not get good road response and it is spongy. Not an issue for normal driving.
Not recommended for tits then

Didn't have any for my car so ended up with 4 X Toyo proxes for £250 👌 £62.50 per corner, not bad considering I paid £65 for a budget tyre last time I had a puncture
Rarely ever in 18" these offers.

My local garage only charges £8 per tyre for fitting and balancing, works out a damn sight cheaper than buying tyres anywhere else
Cold from me as mine is an inch bigger than yours........
Won't fit my Maserati...
Good for British weather.

I have a 2009 MK2 TT 2.0 TFSI with 225/50/17 tyres. Anyone know if it will be okay to fit 225/45/17 instead?

They would fit ok, will only have a slightly lower profile and may be a tad firmer as a result.
I have these on my Golf R and on my wife's Swift Sport. Best wet weather tyres I have had in over 30 years of driving hot hatchbacks.

Family member had some and can also confirm they dont last, last 2 sets have been landsail LS588 which have really surprised me, I drive like I stole the car 80% of the time and the tyres hold up very well and last very long and only cost 138 for 4 brand new off ebay no code

There was a website (or could have been an app) that I came across years ago which allowed you to enter both sizes and said which would be compatible and what the differences it would make to your Speedo, wheel arch clearance etc.

Maybe someone knows of it?

39009173-nLZ8N.jpgSlightly reduced speed vs what speedo actually says. 31 on speedo is actually 30mph
Poor treadwear. Soft sidewall so poor handling. False economy. Personal experience. Went Goodyears and won't look look back.

I've had Landsails on the car a few times 👌 good tyres, but they didn't last long if I remember correctly.

To be fair though, my car is renowned for eating up its front tyres thanks to the heavy engine.
Absolutely brilliant tyre I also had them on my jag amazing grip in the wet. But they were 20” so cost a lot more than this bargain.
They do not last as long as some other manufacturers tyres but amazingly you do not get many people tailgating you in the wet. They throughout a lot of spray
Superb tyres, probably the best I've ever had in the rain.
I've tried pretty much most tyres out there and the Rain sports 1, 2 and 3 have been the best not only for wet handling, but dry is pretty good too. The turn in is great. Smooth and not very noisy.
I have no idea how someone only got 12k from these tyres? They last far longer than that. I'm a somewhat spirited driver and do loads of miles on the motorway and these have lasted as good as any other performance tyre.
If you want your tyres to last forever then go and buy some cheap Chinese rubbish, they'll last forever, but you won't as soon as it rains.

I'd rather have great performance in the wet and shorter life than long lasting ski's.
These are a good buy I bought them on Friday for my daughters car as the current budgets the garage fitted prior to purchase are terrible in the damp/wet.
Yes you’ve to pay for fitting but check the price verses black circles. Which is £333.84 fitted.

Just brought 245/50/17 for 270£.
Great tyres but found these wear far quicker than the Vredsteins I've replaced them with. Can't grumble at the price though, so hot from me!
2 x micheliin cross climates 225/45/17 from costco would cost me £190.
This is a bargain for considering they are good in the wet.
i know my cross climates gave me just over 40000 miles on the front and the back are still running with 70000 miles on them, but at a guess i would think the uniroyal would give the same mileage
I don't know much about load capacity but having looked I would assume these would not work for my Audi being that the load capacity is 94W and these are 91?

Not right up on cars/tyres but the current tyres I have are 235x45rx17.97w. Would these fit my wheels? Cheers
