I never really saw the point of these very low capacity rechargeable D cells. Teardowns show they're often just AAA or AA cells in an adaptor and you might as well buy the two separately. It'll cost a similar amount and offer more flexibility.

I never really saw the point of these very low capacity rechargeable D cells. Teardowns show they're often just AAA or AA cells in an adaptor and you might as well buy the two separately. It'll cost a similar amount and offer more flexibility.

Thanks, got some from China and they blow my bulbs, got a new LED coming and these should be good for my Maglite.

Just an aside,have two palocell AAA 1100 Ah over a year old that just recharged to 1300 Ah and 1500 Ah,don't know if charger has gone balmy or some miracle recharge.Two AA beside them recharged to correcy charge?

No one here use AA to D Cell adapters? slightly more practical considering you can use high capacity AA's which will probably be lighter than rechargeable D's and you have a bigger choice when it comes to decent chargers.
