This stuff is ok, but last time i had a pint of this in a pub... got a dodgy one, not good. lol
Heat because it is usually alright

Only drink in a boozer if you know others drink it. Otherwise thay tend to give u a pint that's been in the pipes for ages NOT NICE !!! Heat Added good price.

Be careful with your choice of pub as well, certain chain pubs which sell their beers really cheap, not mentioning any names, are reputed to buy their beers when they are past their racking dates and shift them quickly selling them cheap. Don't let your judgement be clouded by a poor pint in a cheap skanky pub!
Good beer - hot deal - will hopefully grab some tomorrow =]
Thanks!

Great deal cheers will hopefully stock up tomorrow

Not a special ale. Got some this price last year. Now hobgoblin......mmmmmm.

If you like decent tasting ale try and find stuff from the Waen Brewery, only a tiny place in mid Wales but they've been stocking it in our local Spar.Lovely pint.

OSH is okay, but I would recommend anybody to try Batemans XXXB. It's okay in bottles, but if you find it on draught....Pure nectar.

available online now

Tesco were doing 2x10x440ml cans of OSH for £16. Works out at a better pint/p.

not a bad pint. decent price.

This was a good pint before Greene King got their mitts on it, it was 7% when it was brewed in Abingdon.

As strong as that? I knew Greene King had reduced the abv but I thought it was only from 5.2% to 4.5%?

That's what I thought too. Well, with regard to the draught version anyway. Old Crafty Hen is 6.5% abv.

Hen's Tooth 6.5% bottle conditioned £1.02 in spasda. (not moorland brewery)

Not available online, but normally have them in our local.

I like spitfire personally, sainsburys had an offer on this not long back

I was in Redhill Sainsburys last night trying to get the those little bottles of JD (shelf was empty, but the price did say £3)
surprisingly I didn't see this Hen offer, but they did have most of their 500ml bottle ale (4% - 7something%) as a 2 for £3, which I thought was pretty good

might go back for a couple of these - heated

OSH in 500ml bottles has always been and still is 5.2% - never 7%.

Most draught OSH in pubs I go into also sell the 5.2% version.

The only time I've ever seen a 4.5% version of OSH was a draught version in a Toby chain and it was tasteless.

Have a look at this link: oldspeckledhen.co.uk/fin…tml

Picked up a couple of 4 packs in Sainsbury today for £4 per pack so offer still on.

Many thanks to OP
