banks will accept this. Not just jersey

Surely a UK bank will not accept these, all Westminster collection stuff are not real UK money, just overpriced pieces of metal

It's "legal tender only in jersey", perfectly fine as long as you are wearing one when you want to spend it.

if they don't stick it on eBay in a years time and get £20+ for it. I've bought off the Westminster every year and all of my coins are worth more now. great investment

Is this the best deal we've had here for ages?.....£5 for £5! oO

My limited understanding of such offerings from the likes of Westminster is that they are extremely poor investments to the point that any such purchases will result in a guaranteed loss

Perhaps you could provide some examples of the similar Westminster coins you mention that you have purchased and that have proven to be great investments? I ask because the prospect of quadrupling ones money within 12 months has a degree of appeal.

oi Les Dennis, you're not paying £5 for £5. You are giving something towards the British Legion as well as buying something to remember the fallen. Show some respect!

First thing I thought was they only get 50p of the £5, 10% doesn't seem a lot. I'd rather give the British Legion the £5

You're on the wrong site mate. You need hotukcharities.com!

I did the Tower of London Ceramic poppy thing and can't wait to get one. Anyone been to see the installation? Amazing!

Just ordered a few, thanks op

I'd rather just donate the £5 to the British Legion as opposed to just 50p.

I had hoped to see objective evidence of similar coins consistently selling at prices that are multiples of the assumed £5 purchase price. A review of currently available 2013 coins from Westminster and unsold coins on Ebay, mean I have yet to see this.

let's look at the basics of this deal. 5 pound coin for 5 pound free postage and 50p donation.....need I say more

love the poppy, it represents great fighters of Britain..which there's not much great about it any more...some people forget why they have freedom

another chugger offer despite its worthy cause.

is it 1coin or 100 coins for £5?

These are £25 and £2.50 goes to charity?????

Started receiving spam mail before I got the WW1 Coin, this company should be boycotted on this site.

You are guaranteed spam, just a warning.

Cold from me.

If you look at ebay, does not look great for sellers...

No poppy ones, still 5days bidding minimum

so if I convert my life savings into 5 pound coins, a ton of money goes to charity and I lose nothing?

oh, I have no life savings

I went to see it. It was amazing. Did the Imperial War Museum the same day.

For all those just wanting to donate the £5 directly instead here's the link you need -

Poor design for a commemorative coin.
