Go for the weather, stay for the food poisoning.

Food poisoning seems to have stopped since they started filming guests and challenging compensation lol
Just came back from 10th turkey holiday no issues and great value for money . Have in the lsdt 20 years been within 5-10 miles of 3 bombs in the Uk Manchester x2 and warrington !!! . Dont live in fear .How many shootings in USA yet never mentioned v turkey bet 10 x more in Usa,
Some really dumb comments on this thread. I've been to Turkey and very close to this resort 8 times in the last 10 years. No terrorism issues. Despite the horrors that have happened at home you still think other countries are riskier. Really? The additional security measures are at the request of UK government. I found it rather unnecessary after going through the usual checks already but it's down to our government I'm afraid.

I'm not too sure about October, but Turkey for Xmas sounds good.

no hold luggage or resort transfer, teletext holidays ALWAYS do that, add on hold luggage and the transfer and your soon up to £250+, which is about the usual for this resort at this time. October is fine, 20-25 every day in Turkey so no issues with that and the food is fine, been many times.. not voting either way though as its a bit misleading on the price, its not everything you need so extra costs make it average...
Far too risky still, any anti western country is not worth risking my family

Went to Dalaman in June, no issues at all. Strangely the airport security coming back was above and beyond the airport security going out of England. As well as the usual checks, all baggage was searched upon entering the terminal (before check in) and we were frisked and had cabin baggage searched at the gate before we boarded.

Not strange at all. Increased security measures for on board electronic devices since, I believe March, for flights destined to UK from certain countries. Turkey being one of them.

Even stranger, all laptops, tablets etc had to be in hand luggage going out to Turkey, but in hold luggage coming back.

'Western Countries' terrorised Turkey, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia to scare the tourists away and boost the dead economies of Spain, Greece and Portugal. It wasn't difficult was it?
There is a risk going anywhere. If you live in fear of what might happen you'll end up agoraphobic.

I've been to Hisaronu (just down the road from ovacik) twice in October the weather was hot through the day but it went cold at night.

Shh, I want everyone to avoid, so I can get a cheap holiday in the summer like this.
Went to Turkey 2 years ago and as most of people I was skeptic about the weather. 33-35C all week. Great holiday.
Reason why it is that cheap!
Dont forget your bullet proof vest, and if you are a woman dont forget your chastity belt, rape alarm and pepper spray

Yes nothing to do with hate filled Muslims with guns and bombs it's all planned by western economists right?

I'm not one to shy away from travelling because of fear but to ignore the extra vulnerability in certain countries because you've been several times and not died is to be frank, ignorant. Yes terrorists have operated recently in the UK but we live here so we can't not be here, we can avoid other dangerous countries if we choose though so you can't criticise anyone who does. I guarantee you wouldn't be so flippant about the seriousness of terrorism if you saw it in real life or got caught up in it first hand.
I would probably go here aware of the risk, would I take my kids.. probably not as there are less dangerous alternatives.

You watch a lot of BBC or read a lot of Daily Mail. Many more people die on American streets due to gun crimes. Many innocent Britain's lost their lives. No one ever talks about shunning America! Terrorists have recently struck France, mate you won't talk about abandoning France. Muslims are the victims. By the way you won't call Bush or Blair terrorists for killings nearly 2 million Muslims.

I don't read the mail, I do travel a hell of a lot though.
I think you'll find a lot of people avoid the states because of its gun problem.
I'm not suggesting abandoning anyone, I'm suggesting it's wise to consider your actions in the current situation.
I've called Bush and Blair a lot of things I assure you!

Yep we'll stay at home instead and take a nice safe city break in maybe London or Manchester. Oh wait ... ... .
Why this deal is listed as on holiday pirates as it is by teletext...?
I avoid that company at all cost.

I stayed here in October last year and most days were high 20's low 30's, nights were colder but they put on fire-pits and it's actually quite nice.

Food at this place is really nice, we went with 3 kids aged between 17 months and 10 years last october and not one of us got even remotely ill.

I've been 5 times in the last 18 months to this area and felt safer there than I do in England.

Ha ha, you are an idiot - Have you been to Turkey in the last few years? I've been loads in the last couple years and this area specifically is one of the most relaxed. My wife wore a bikini practically the whole week never ever felt threatened or intimidated. Maybe you shouldn't read the Daily Mail.
typical idiotic comments aimed at any deals remotely to do with Muslims. Whether its holidays in Muslim majority countries, or halal food etc, you get the same type of comments.
is it really a 5* resort for this price, and fully inclusive?
Yes
