Travelrepublic are offering the 5* 9.3/10 rated Anantara The Palm, Dubai at £203 per night half board for December 2020. I have used 5/12/20 onwards on the link. There is a low deposit option of £15.
At just over £100 per person for breakfast and evening meal in a five star Dubai hotel in peak season that is very cheap.

Dubai charges a tourist tax of just under £5 per room per night payable on checkout

Stayed here, also did half board, this a lovely lovely hotel and service is absolutely first class. Personally not a huge fan of Dubai, however this place really is top drawer.
Others may have different experiences, but have used a dozen or so online companies like this and would never use TR again. Atrocious customer service. Booked hotel room in Orlando with TR, confirmed and money taken. When we got there, no reservation. TR offered to get us a room in another hotel other end of Int Drive, but unable to call them back - just phone menus/ringing phone, no answer. Hours of hassle getting US phone cards to try and contact them in their UK office hours, waiting in queues, no answer.
In the end we simply booked a room in the original hotel direct at the desk (cheaper than TR rate). TR not interested in any kind of compensation or even an apology afterwards as they 'offered us an alternative' - which we were unable to accept or decline as unable to contact them. Just many slow, snotty email responses. Not worth the stress again.

I also have been messed around by travel republic who took my money and failed to honour my booking. I had to claw back with my cc. AVOID!

Suprised at some of the comments about TR. I've used TR many times (>10), and never had any issues at all, always for hotel bookings only.

Same here. I always use TR mostly because the cheap cancellation charge ( and partial refund of cancellation charge if another booking is made ) allows you to cancel and rebook if the hotel price goes down or if you change the booking completely. The cancellation charge of Destination2 is 70% of invoice total even if you cancel 6 months in advance.
