Good deal although long flight time
Beware the bugs. And snakes. And bogs and anything else you have nightmares about.

I read all about it but would like to go for the experience
Good price but I think I would pay a bit more to avoid Hong Kong.

What nonsense
We have flown with Cathay Pacific.as we have flown with many other airlines,on our many trips to Australia. They are one of the ones that we love to travel with, excellent service.great air line.
I would still go to Hong Kong despite the problems.its a really safe place.

It's Australia, what do you expect?

Great price from a great airline.

Why?

You will be in transit airside, and all the troubles are landside. Never the twain shall meet (as they say)

The example flight to Perth is 33 hours - 14 of which are in Hong Kong airport, good flight/stopover time is about 22.

Don't get me wrong - I've voted hot as it's a good price and good airline - just think 33hrs makes it a very long trip

For about £60 more you can get shorter flights (22hrs) on same dates for Man/Syd. Might be worth it to get the shorter journey times

Perth connection times are not ideal, unless you fancy a day out in Hong Kong. Sydney or Melbourne much better connections (typically 24 hrs end to end).

Hot sure I agree. We used Cathay Pacific on a recent visit to Cairns via Hong Kong. If you've never been its worth the stop over.
Only £35 return with Ryanair. Baggage is £700 though!
BTW - Don't go to Perth!!!!!!!

I’ve booked to fly Manchester to Melbourne’s via Singapore in March and it was only about £90 more. Apparently my 2 hour stop over will Ben enough to see the worlds largest indoor waterfall.
Of all the places we have visited in Australia, most recently Cairns, Perth was by far the least enjoyable. Expensive, not a massive amount to see compared to the East Coast and the locals, there is a large number of British immigrants who on the whole aren't that friendly.
I would never like to go Australia. Immigration process is like passing through criminal den. Pathetic and idiotic customs regulations. Stay away from them and visit any other country
