:santa: ya ya ..so what i bought 25 1st class books &25 second class books back in march even cheaper then! still got 18 1st class books left &16 2nd classbooks left...anyway who goes to the post office these days except for pensioners&e-bay clowns?

I don't know how much a 1st class stamp is nowadays but surely this is only going to save 1p or 2p per stamp tops? Not too great for the average xmas card sender.

There is another side to this though. Stamps, as far as I am aware, are legal tender so basically you could change your cash for 5% more value in stamps and then go an spend it somewhere. Shops have to accept it!!! If not then the Bank of England will, so go and increase you bank balance by 5% now LOL!!! :-D

Sorry but that's not true; stamps are not legal tender.

OK, looked into it and the use of the word "Legal Tender" was probably wrong but they are "Legally Acceptable" as a method of payment. In a shop it is down to the shopkeeper as to if they accept it or not and I would guess most places are not going to honour this as payment. I have read though that some shops do instruct their staff to take stamps as payment so do not rule it out 100%.

This not a new deal

It's been on offer for Months!!!
