Rubbish deals on Wuntu again this week.

I delete Wuntu a good while back. It is absolute crap.
Just saw this, but no idea how to get it. I clicked the link and it went to Google Play (not special page for this deal). Where's the discount?

How do you hold a coffee, your phone AND take a picture?

You have to buy the product first .
Mine just said payment failed, I don't have enough credit left on my mobile account. :/
This won't work for PAYG customers I take it?

How'd you know if you get the money back? Say I didn't... how would I complain that? My Wuntu email is different to my Play email, and it doesn't use a code.

oh rats - I'm PAYG, this could be it.

Talk to 3 customer service .
Hmm doesn't let me chose 3 as a payment option on my Google play account even though I have dual sim and the 3 sim is in my second slot

Monthly contracts only
Brought and paid for by payment of three rather than card so waiting for some evidence to see where the money came from as none left my bank and nothing on mobile account as set to zero spend when started contract
Oooh £25 free credit for me wonder if you can stack or individual use
Damn - wish it was just a code to add the £5 as I have not got any card or bank details linked to my Play account for a reason (I just top it up with gift cards if I want something as I'm paranoid with my children buying something expensive (in app purchases etc)).

Try with the 3 sim in the first slot

Thanks but it's because it's PAYG not contract

Has anyone had confirmation of the £5 credit? I bought something for £5.99 and charged it to my 3 bill but just received the standard Google play confirmation text message and email.
Associated 3 monthly billing with GP account, bought £5 of in game credit, selected 3 billing as payment method, paid.
No sign of confirmation text message from 3 as suggested would happen though...
Just spoke to (a very friendly) 3 customer support agent and they are "experiencing issues" with this offer at the moment.
Damn, finally thought we'd have a decent deal on Wuntu for once but doesn't work on PAYG. Pretty much only ever used the app for free cinema tickets once in a blue moon.

Cant add Three billing as a payment method with rooted phone.
I bought KOTOR. I heard that is't a good game. I can't be bothered to play it on pc, but I'll gladly complete it on my phone. Good deal

It does when you go to website with full terms, would have liked this on Payg
Anyone get the £5 refund acknowledgement message post purchase?
Thanks for posting. If you're having any issues with this offer and/or curious about a retention offer.......

Having Issues with this Offer?

I was receiving an error when trying to enable "Use Three Mobile billing" in the Google Play Store. I was/am fairly certain it's related to the fact I have a block/limit on my account so I can't spend outside of my contract amount each month. It would make sense to me that because of this you can't add your Three bill as a payment method. Anyway, I called CS, they were helpful as usual but didn't think my diagnosis was correct, a bit of faff after speaking to colleagues about the Wuntu offer. I then just asked if it was possible rather than try and solve the technical issue if they could go ahead and credit my account with £5, they agreed to do this. Great service. If you're having issues and have time it's worth discussing with them.

Retention Deal

On a related point, I decided to talk to their retention's/renewal's department as aware I'm outside of my conntract duration, but fairly happy as for £9 (now £9.22 thanks to the RPI increase) I've been getting an Advanced Plan (so Feel At Home world wide plus tethering) with 4GB, 600 mins, unlimited SMS). After mentioning some competitors offers the best they would offer was an increase to 8GB and unlimited calls for £10, still an Advanced Plan. For 88p extra it's worth it for me for a 12 month commitment.

To be fair, they designed a system that was open to a degree of abuse....and the rest as they say is history. For me I would have thought limiting the offers to contract customers and PAYG who are in credit of a minimum £X (or topped up within last month) could have made sense. Maybe a technical challenge prevented this, or maybe they didn't want any limitation. More recently they moved to the weekly picks method, but unfortunately the standard of the freebies has dropped. This week's including this Google Play deal is a welcome return to include something of real value with (fairly) mass appeal. Execution is a little iffy though. Hopefully we'll see furher improvements.

Thanks OP
Thinking of moving onto their unlimited plan and if they intend to do an offer like this each week/month, then it might be worth it.
