Don't let the media fool you. Dubai is nothing like how the media portray it. I visited in October/November last year and even locals hold hands with each other etc.
Brilliant country brilliant food brilliant people brilliant weather what more would you want from a holiday. Respect Country and culture and you'll have a lovely time. Same goes for any other place you visit
Why is it always bigoted comments about how you can't do "X, Y, or Z". Respect the laws and culture just as you'd want to have here and you'll be fine. This is a stonking deal. If you want to go to Magaluf or Ibiza, then go there.

I got dragged out of retirement to teach chemistry in a sixth form college. Happily, they are honouring my two term time holidays I had already booked. I am absolutely definitely retiring in summer, for the fifth absolutely definite time.

Fantastic deal. Thanks OP 🏼
It's cheap because of how hot and humid it still is in September. You can stay at the atlantis palm for example in summer for about 4k for a family of 4. In less hotter months its about 4k per person

Doesn’t let me book - gives me an error about email?
Departs? It sounded like it includes flights

I have just booked a holiday with them and was logged in. I can only suggest using the generic link and starting a new search. It may be thinking it is still me

I didn't put that in, it was added by moderators.

Why what's his antics .No problems at all when we went during Ramadan .Just respect the country you are in .My daughter is there as we speak and says her initial trepidation was misplaced.

Alas when 'breakfast and dinner' are selected the prices increase considerably. Still worth posting though, even with Turkish Airlines flights.

When I found it for my family it was for 1 week in July and was 4k for 4 of us without flights. I have found 2 weeks in July for £8500 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Flights are approx 400 each. So not much differently priced to Turkey for you

Same hotel in August is £669 for eight nights hb. My favourite hotel though is the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, that is £2140 for eight nights hb. That place has a very good kids club and lazy river kids pool. And camels. travelrepublic.co.uk/hot…t=3

Hi Karlie. Destination2 are often cheaper but their cancellation charge is 70% of total invoice even if you cancel six months in advance. I've switched to Travelrepublic because they only charge £40 ( £25 if you rebook for another time/place ).

They also, miraculously email you later on saying the room/hotel is unavailable, and offer cheap alternatives. WORST NIGHTMARE THEY ARE

Yes I have. Providing I don't cancel they're fine. Plus have annual travel insurance for any unforeseen circumstances.

It's a £100 saving with free transfers.

Great, good luck. I will never book through them again. Waste of time and incompetent, no fault of my own. They lure you in with cheap prices, then call you up to say it’s not available,
Ruined one of my holiday before. Never ever had a problem with TR

OK fair enough and sorry to hear that. Did they refund you fully?

No, they wanted to take a chunk off, so had to pay extra for an alternative. Tbh, I can’t be getting a call last minute saying the hotel is unavailable. It happened to a friend of mine too. So not a coincidence i’m guessing. Too much hassle. Sometimes I just pay a little extra for piece of mind. Plus travelling with children, can’t risk it.

I found Dubai pretty wierd for food. There seems to be American eateries everywhere. It isn't as expensive as people make it out to be. When I went for 7 days last October (me the wife and 2 kids aged 4 and 9) we took £1000 and came back with approx £200 we were half board but did eat out a couple of times through the week and we weren't trying to not spend much either.

Very expensive if you are staying in a 5* hotel and want to eat there. Atlantis for example has a small Mall attached cheapest option is a burger place not much different to McDonalds and it was about 80 quid for 4. And you are quite a long way from anything else.

However, if you get a cab to one of the proper Malls there are decent price options in food court or international chains.

The good hotels are expensive, but that is same the world over. Also alcohol in the good hotels expect £10+ a pint.

I tend to advise going HB, breakfast Inc as a minimum.
