That said, I would be more tempted by the Jumeirah Al Naseem HB at £237 a night for two persons.

That would get you free entry to The Wild Wadi waterpark and access to 40+ 5* restaurants in Jumeirah hotels dinearound deal. I have never seen Al Naseem that cheap

I am thinking that this may be a coronavirus effect. Even the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is reduced to £230 a night half board in September.

I am going to the Jumeirah Beach in September so have been keeping an eye on prices. Quite a few seem to have fallen today. The reason I stick with Travelrepublic is that it is very easy and quite cheap to change bookings ( which I tend to do ).
Whats the best luxury place to stay for location?

I usually book direct through the Marriott website. They had the Sheraton grand including flights for 2, seperate rooms, 7 nights for £570pp. But I'm holding out for business flights.

Oman air do a good business class. Though prices are a bit weird with them at the moment. Cheaper to fly from Aberdeen than Manchester even though they fly you from Aberdeen to Manchester to catch the same flight. And for 2 its over £1000 saving.

Also, if I book through them I get additional points. I'm a titanium member so also get free upgrades, breakfast and access into the club lounge. Also cancellable upto 24 hours before the first day.

Out of the deals that have appeared by far the most luxurious hotel is The Emirates Palace. For location I would go with Jumeirah Al Naseem at £237 a night. Club rooms with free cocktails between 6pm and 8pm are worth the extra. Golf buggies will take you to the neighbouring Jumeirah hotels, including the Burj al Arab, so you have a choice of 40+ 5* restaurants. You also have free access to the Wild Wadi waterpark.
I hope the OP booked it as it looks like everything now corrected to real price

Just came back a short while ago from the Al Nassem hotel after spending the last 10yrs going to JBH the previous years and must say the Nasseem is far superior now, please be aware of the huge amount of construction next door to the JBH as it was really quite noisy there unfortunately, just a heads-up really, hope it helps.

Anna highly recommend the Al Naseem, been going to Dubai for 10yrs + and went to this recently opened hotel and it was really nice, that travel republic deal for 10 nights HB is extremely cheap im very tempted myself again though I might get stung for single supplement this time

Ocean View is decent hotel. Has a good terrace bar on the first floor called Girders that I used to go to weekly for happy hour before walking across the road to the Marriot and taking advantage of happy hour in there and a few games of pool. Decent location too being right at the end of the Marina on the beach side.
Stayed at the JA Oasis Tower on JBR recently was very good for families. Those were serviced apartments. If this is anything similar then it will be good. Notoriously expensive nearby though.
ams_Sxi05/03/2020 09:46

Are the restaurants free?

The vast majority of Jumeirah hotel restaurants service the half board dinearound. Some like La Parilla at the JBH and all those in the Burj charge a supplement. So yes, they are 'free' if you have paid for half board.

All Jumeirah hotel guests have free access to the Wild Wadi waterpark. There is not an inch of the park not covered by a lifeguard and they are rotated between posts to keep them alert. They are very safety conscious. There are also kids clubs.

Not sure about Suhur but iftaar is more likely to be covered but have no personal experience though.
I stayed at this hotel 2-3 years a go. It's a decent hotel and it's locations is really good! Would definitely stay there again.
I just came back from Dubai. Very high panic of the Coronavirus. Dragonmart shopping centre empty, streets quiet and less tourism going there. Everyone wearing face masks but no face masks available in chemists. Panic
Dubai in september is very cheap for hotels. Can get a 4 star with breakfast for less than £25 easily.
Why is this so cheap
Even with Covid19 doing the rounds this seems like an excellent deal.

Heated.
