The coronavirus fallout continues. Travelrepublic are offering 'Ocean Deluxe' rooms ( no balcony ) for £325 a night half board for two people in Dubai peak season, December 2020. The same room but with a balcony is still £608 a night. Free unlimited access to the Wild Wadi waterpark is a two minute walk ( normal ticket price is Adult £52 and child £46 ) and the half board gives you access to 40+ 5* restaurants at other Jumeirah hotels along the beach using the beach buggy service. Restaurants in the Burj charge a supplement. Even with building work on the eastern side this is still one of my favourite hotels.
The Dubai 'Expo' will also have opened by then.
Deposit is £5 with a cancellation charge of £40, balance payable two weeks beforehand.

Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Hotel is a massive luxury complex with six swimming pools, 21 restaurants and bars and all kinds of entertainment options. The resort sits right on the Arabian Gulf and provides private beach access to guests, and also has a water park and climbing wall. There is a spa in the resort with massage rooms, jetted tubs, saunas and steam rooms, in addition to a kids club and fitness centre.

The architecture of the hotel is incredibly modern, the building is designed to look like a giant wave. All rooms have views of the ocean through their floor to ceiling windows, and there are 19 Arabian style villas that sit right on the beach as well. The resort's central location means it is just over six kilometres from the Mall of the Emirates, and ten kilometres from The Palm Jumeirah.

For a Jumeirah hotel on Jumeirah Beach in Dubai peak season, December, it is very cheap. The normal price is £500+.
Amazing hotel too
Possibly the best hotel i’ve ever stayed at.
I recently visited Dubai to visit my son who had just started a job there. Without much research I booked the 5 Jumeirah Village Hotel (Part of the same group as the 5 Palm). The service and facilities were excellent and a shuttle bus runs every half hour to the 5 Palm where you can enjoy all the facilities. Although 10km from the 5 Palm ( or a £7 taxi fare) the Jumeirah Village Hotel was not as lively which, to a man of a certain age, was a blessing, but the rooms were 33% cheaper £550 for the week.
Over £300 per night I’d want all inclusive not half board..

Jumeirah do not do All Inclusive.
I'll wait for more "fallout" and it's £32.5 per night
£325 a night

Great deal but you won't get hot on here. If it was £100 for 2 weeks in a caravan park you'd have them salivating.

This one was predictable. If you normally spend £335 on an entire holiday a 40% reduction on a £500+ room, even in an iconic hotel, is not going to look good. That said, if I was prone to despair I wouldn't have emerged from retirement to teach chemistry to bewildered sixth formers ( the salary from which just happens to be paying for a suite here in September and Madinat in December )..

My students see this hotel before they endure another dose of enthalpy calculations. It reminds them they are working towards glittering prizes and where I will be in September

In which case such people have no reason to vote on the deal. I have no interest in whether they can afford this or not.

What matters is that this is an excellent hotel and the price is very good.
