5 Kgs of Whey Protein & Free Hydrator bottle, delivered, from MyProtein

Found 4th JanEdited by:"Garnett"
Use the code "Lucky" to get 35% off the standard price, plus free postage and a free Myprotein ½ Gallon Hydrator (which looks to me like a pretty ridiculously oversized water bottle).

The deal for Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey 4.54kg - 25% off £58.87 @ Amazon went really hot:-

hotukdeals.com/dea…978

Seeing as this deal at Myprotein is less money for a larger quantity of a better quality protein, plus a free water bottle, hopefully it'll get some heat too!

Less fat.I found my recovery a bit better whilst using optimum nutrition.Saying that I now use myProtein as once in a blue moon they do 5kg for £35 and I'll bulk buy. I also love the chocolate banana or chocolate mint flavours

You attribute better recovery to a different brand of protein above 80%? Lol, do you even lift?

I use Myprotein Whey and this a pretty standard price as they are always running a promotion. It has been cheaper previously.
As for this being a better protein then Optimum Nutrition. I strongly disagree.
Just to add - that price is for my prefered flavour, "Natural Chocolate" - if you're happy to go with unflavoured, it's even cheaper: £37.69

Haven't tried the Optimum, but have zero problem mixing the MP.

Optimum is actually lower protein level (82 vs 84 %).

Optimum is 18.7% BCAA, where MP is 18% so that 0.7% *might* account for your better recovery.

Here you get 10% more, for about 2/3rds the price of the Optimum deal. Yet that gets 450 degrees of heat, and this immediately gets voted cold. Sometimes I just don't understand HUKD.

Are there shill accounts, or do people just not understand? (Not directed at you Smadmad - just general question)

MyProtein is objectively the better product:

labdoor.com/ran…ein

"A better recovery" while using one protein supplement over another is pure bro science.

Besides, the best recovery you'll get is using natural whole foods

My protein has less protein. 82g per 100g ON
82.5g per 100g lol but I agree with you for the money myprotein is better value that's why I use it. And have done for the last 2 years. I did us ON before that but it is over priced. I have never understood why Myprotein it gets voted cold on here. Brand snobbery possibly.

Where did I say the higher protein content attributed to better recovery?

Thanks for posting that @delboyd - was just about to mention your post myself.

MP ranked 3rd at 91.2% and Optimum ranked 23rd at 78.5%.

Seems fairly clear-cut.

MP always seems to get voted down on HUKD - is it shills at work, or bro-science, or something else?

My bad - I was taking the grams per dose and multiplying up - on that basis, they have the same stated amount.

The Labdoor results showed that in the samples they analysed, the MP actually had 87.6% and the ON only had 72.6%!

To be honest I believe the labdoor results over what is written on the label. I voted hot anyway

There's a lot of nonsense spouted on here. All we can do is try to reason with people with evidence and facts.

All of these "bros" should be obliged to upload of a photo of themselves before posting fitness/nutrition advice. I guarantee most are either scrawny gym rats who don't eat enough to gain weight (but hammer down the Optimum Nutrition protein) or fat people sat in squealing desk chairs.

Yeah. I'm inclined to agree. And if it keeps the decent stuff at a low price then so be it.

Not really what HUKD is supposed to be about though. I wish there was a site like HUKD that actually worked though. It'd be a handy site.

The fact of the matter is that pretty much every protein product on the market works as long as you apply simple logic and science into your diet/routine/plan. Lets leave out the stereotyping bodytypes shall we? Either people know what they're talking about or they don't. Brand loyalty comes in all walks of life and bodybuilding is no different, so lets not use your debate as an excuse to bodyshame.

Isn't it a bit of a shame that people let subjective brand loyalty get in the way of getting an objectively good deal, and, worse, stopping others from finding objectively good deals?

Of course lets just ignore the derogatory comments. After all it's all about getting the point across eh! So explain to me how someone having brand loyalty (presumably you mean as a result voted cold) stops people from finding this deal?
Myprotein blends the best even though it can be expensive.

Eh? Are you serious? Deals voted cold sink, and deals voted hot get more prominence.

It's literally the way this site works.

Yes I'm serious because if you're the kind of person that only searches this site by what's listed hot on the homepage then you're doing it all wrong. Lets say I'm someone who's looking for protein powder. I could search for keywords such as 'protein' or 'myprotein' and voila, it's like magic, they all appear whether hot or cold.

You're completely wrong, and you don't understand how the site works.

And a couple of minutes before you posted this, someone traced back all the deals I've posted and voted them cold.

How petty and lame.

I don't understand how the search function works? And to think I've been doing it wrong all these years. Thank you for opening my eyes. Maybe you've rubbed someone up the wrong way with your attitude, who knows. Personally I don't know why you'd be so bothered by whether a historical post gets downvoted, the deals are most likely expired anyhow.

Yeah, it was clearly the action of a very lame and petty individual.
Remember there's 10% quidco too.

It has been cheaper but I need something now and this is a decent enough price.
Just got my Amazon code from Voucher Codes so this ended up costing me £32.
