Bargain (highfive). Cheers.
Oh I got this from B & Q for a lot more

Led bulbs don’t seem to be fairing too well in it. However, led bulbs are not recommended for the fitting !
Changed both mine for lights that pointed down so I could read the paper, the spiders didnt mind

It's only a light fitting so would make no difference to led bulbs. It must be the brand of bulbs or if you are using a dimmer with non dimmable bulbs.
LED bulbs are just like switching from normal bulbs to energy saving ones, you don't need a fitting to be LED compatible.... It's just the wattage of the bulb you need to look at, so 60W normal bulbs or 10W LED bulbs.

In any case, go for LED bulbs for the reduced power consumption, better light, and much longer life

We have these lights and thought the same about the bulbs, they were blowing at a stupid rate. I have recently found out that you need to wear gloves to put them in. If you get the oil on the bulb it causes a hot point on the glass which overheats the bulb and it blows. I put a new set in both lights a few weeks ago with gloves on and not one bulb has blown since Hope this helps!
Oh and they are a real pain to keep clean!

Does this include cables, switch and installation by a qualified electrician? Is it Hue compatible? Can the bulbs change colour?

That makes no sense whatsoever. A light switch has a current rating of no less than 10 amps. So at 230V that is 2300W of power. Even if you had a 100W bulb in every fitting you're nowhere near 10A.

The right amount of watts being reached is a statement I have no idea how to qualify, interpret or respond to.

It does, it makes a big difference!!
This fitting almost encloses the bulb, LED bulbs are not suitable for such locations and would blow out within weeks.

Please explain. We have a very similar fitting with ses led bulbs in (over 18 months now) and no issues at all.
