5 Metre RJ45 Cat5E Network Cable - £1 @ Poundworld

Noticed this the other day and grabbed one.

"5 Meter RJ45 to RJ45 high speed ethernet cable."

These are typically a few quid on Amazon or Ebay, so it looked a good deal to me!

    They have had this a while. Can't remember if this is Cat5E or plain Cat5. I think it is Cat5E. Poundland's cables, on the other hand, are marked only Cat5.

    Just checked, the cable is marked as Cat5E. I'll update the OP, cheers for noticing.

    I think it depends on the size if the branch. It was in both the Hamilton and East Kilbride stores (Scotland). They are beside the laptop stands and usb charging cables.

    Then go to Poundland and be surprised. The cables there are marked thus.
    Whether it's cat5 or 5e really won't make a difference at this length of cable

    cat 6 is a horrible cable, it brakes, you can not bend it as much as cat 5e and it is more thicker then cat 5e, and speeds are the same max 1gb/s

    Wrong, Cat6 is capable of doing 10Gb/s, just not at 100m
