Not quite sure how it's showing, just spoke to amazon... They aren't offering any customers that so if its showing... Take advantage now...

35232981-g4ESr.jpgHere's a screen shot of the full terms. I used this earlier this year to purchase an echo device. It differs from the above screen shot in that this is not a credit agreement, it's just a payment plan with Amazon.
I'm prime and showing for me.

definately still showing for me

How is this the same?

One is listening so it can try and sell you something and is open about it. The other is listening so it can lock you up and is secretive about it. So no, quite different.
Listening and sending convos to random people is not the same.

Who said anything about it being the same ? At least with Alexa you choose to have something listening to you. But with your mobile phone conversations you don't so you make up your own mind which is worse.

I've had this shown on my account for 1-2 months if not longer, its probably based on how long/how much you've spent with Amazon.

This was a different scheme entirely, offered by Hitachi finance on any product. This is purely on Amazon products. To the extent that the Echo Plus is on it, but if you want the Echo Plus offer with the WiFi lightbulb, you can't!

Doesn't seem that it was available to everyone.
I get the option

Pay for your device in five equal monthly payments: no finance charges, no interest or hidden fees and no credit check or application required.
How it Works
Select the monthly payment option when you Add to Basket, in your Basket or at checkout. At checkout, your initial payment will include your first monthly payment plus delivery costs in full. We'll charge your credit card when we dispatch your device. Each monthly payment will include the appropriate portion of VAT. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your credit card in equal instalments according to the number of payments indicated when you selected the monthly payment option, every 30 days from shipment date. By placing your order via monthly payments, you authorise us to charge your credit card or another available credit card on file with us for each monthly payment. For more details and payment schedule, see full terms and conditions.
Shows for me (prime member)
Voted cold. Not available.
I've had this in my Amazon too I think it might be linked to if you pay with a credit card or debit card. I pay with my Amazon credit card and get the pay monthly options
