How does it compare to Spotify, Deezer etc?
Can't tell any difference in quality between Tidal and Deezer standard on a Roksan amplifier and Kef R700 speakers. Thinking it's emporor's new clothes.
I have 100 gb data a month so can stream Tidal's higher quality music. This option not offered by Spotify & Deezer. I also think Tidal provides faster response times than other too. Not tried using with Alexa or Google assistant yet though.

All the streaming services have lossy options that are well beyond transparent to source. Deezer uses 320kb/s MP3 vs. Tidal's 320kb/s AAC, MP3 is an inferior codec but at that bitrate you're so far past placebo.

What data provider do you have?
Can't use Tidal with Alexa in the UK
Vodafone.got a cracking deal last Black Friday: new G7, 100 gb data, everything else unlimited & after auto cashback & Quidco worked out at £21.49 a month. G7 has DAC conversion audio so combine that with Tidal's 'Hifi" quality music ( I thought it was lossless FLAC) & listening on the bus is markedly better.

See here for comparison info: audfree.com/tid…tml

It may be a placebo effect but works on me.
Can I sign up and cancel immediately or do i need to remember to cancel on day 150?

When cancelling a TIDAL subscription, that will cancel future renewal. You will retain access to TIDAL features for the remainder of the ssubscription.

Great sound on good high end speakers and ok BUT no app on Xbox ps4 smart TVs no Siri Alexa podcasts no controlling connecting phone too app so back to Spotify for me
Saw this deal advertised on Facebook and signed up with a different email address. Very good deal, now that my Spotify 3 month trial is ending in a few days.
On a 2-month Tidal Hi-Fi trial and also quite impressed. They claim to provide "guaranteed master-quality recordings directly from the master source" as part of that support.tidal.com/hc/…ERS
How does Tidal compare to Deezer HiFi (Deezer HiFiFLAC - 16-bit 1,411 kbps Lossless)? If you’re with Three and on one of their ‘go binge’ plans you get unlimited streaming without using up data allowance. Worth considering if you want the higher quality.

What content does it have? I need top 40, urban and house to DJ using the Denon Prime 4 link to Tidal. Not sure if it would work well enough.

No very good has more content than Spotify and aimed at more house r&b etc just miss Spotify layout and apps on console
Tempted by this as £5 is no money in the grand scheme of things if I listen to more than one album using the service.

What's the more niche availability like on it? One of my favourite things on Spotify is using the recommendations to find really obscure artists that I'd not have found normally.

Looking specifically for experimental electronic a la Hannah Peel / Anna Meredith / Pete Ibbetson, Modern hip hoppy Jazz like Thundercat / Kamasi Washington / Comet is Coming and instrumental prog/metal like Animals as Leaders, Plini, Chon, Polyphia.

Just realised that in the time it took to write that I could have looked myself, but at least HUKD knows my music tastes now

Thanks for the reply. I did look for that but found the site almost impossible to navigate on a phone and couldn't see any evidence of a search function without being logged in.

I was more after first hand experience related to my question to be honest - how it was finding new music etc. That's difficult to gauge from a little bit of snooping around. We've got a lovely hifi in the house that doesn't get used enough because of the fam's constant use of the Sonos, but I'd be quite happy to switch if Tidal had a really robust artist line-up with strong and accurate recommendations.

I didn't want to sign up for the trial in case it invalidated the offer. Will try again when I'm near a proper computer.
Is rubbish. No ASOT...
Trustpilot has all 1 star ratings for not honoring the trial and charging the card fradulenly earlier and failing to refund with poor customer service etc. Caution Advised. Tempted and signed up already. hoping to cancel 2 months early. If they cancel properly will re activate else will avoid totally.
Just got it now from instagram and wanted to postit . Tidal is rly good in my op. Useing deezeer atm but switching back to tidal for this offer .
Heat - it might not be free but it ties in nicely with my Roon setup
Cancelled my Turkey subscription and signed up using this offer for the Family plan.

I removed a family member from my Turkey account and tried to enroll to the UK account but Tidal prevented it saying this member belongs to Turkey Tidal. Does anyone know a way round this?
Damn - missed it.
