There's Costa Brava and there's Costa Brava!
That is kiss me quick hats, sombreros part of Costa brava, and the more sophisticated, stylish, rustic part.

Then again I've just noticed this is at Tossa de Mar!

It will be closed in October. It's not like further south that stays open all year. However if you hire a car and go out exploring, it could be very nice
I stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago with my partner and loved it! We only had breakfast so I can't comment on the hotel restaurant but it's well situated and Tossa de Mar is a lovely wee place. Busses are regular and allowed us to visit both Girona and Barcelona easily whilst staying here. We went the last week of September/first week of October and the weather was excellent - I'd easily recommend this holiday to anyone!
I'm a travel agent and just checked the hotel costs in our system from multiple bed banks, and these guys are £20 cheaper for the Double room FB. So, although you have to sign up to purchase through them, you will find a saving

I've stayed in tossa before. It's fairly isolated and self contained. Bear in mind car or bus is the only way to travel out if you are interesting in traveling the coast - the train doesn't quite go as far as tossa.

Other resorts further south (i stayed in pineda de mar last year) benefit from a cheap frequent train. Makes it easy to get a day somewhere else for a change.

I'd be happy to be there for 5 days. Much longer and i might be going stir crazy.

5 days? You have a higher threshold for Tossa's than me
Lovely resort. Was even nicer years ago before the " all inclusive mob" arrived.
