It depends on your local Lidl checkout staff

The voucher will scan ok so it's up to the individual whether they accept or not

If you're in a Metro newspaper distribution area they should accept the e-voucher - but if not - the Lidl checkout staff may be confused

I doubt anyone will know, for the life of me I cant understand why anyone would actually pay to read the Bull*hit, lies and hatred that this excuse for newspaper is filled with.

where can you pick up the metro from, my kids used to get it but are now at uni and no point in me trying to ask them where as they will be in the land of nod lol

Read the voucher terms! You now can't technically use these printouts anymore

australian shiraz - 14% - is reduced to £2.99 from £3.89

Just to confirm when I last used this its 2 alcoholic PRODUCTS only, I bought quite a few beers and a 2 bottles of wine and it went through fine

It has always said that and I have never had a problem. I get the E Metro version and print it out from there. I do have an excuse, as being registered Blind, I get to use magnification on my PC. Never had to play my trump card though.

Sorry but that isn't true, it has never said "online printouts".
Source: I also used to print out the Metro voucher and use it with no problems

I'm afraid the clause on "online print-outs" is new - I've just checked the last instance that I printed in May, and the T&Cs did *not* have this included at the time (only referring to copied, damaged or defaced).

i donut think it do

Just to be clear: This actual voucher states copies and online printouts are not valid. Original newspaper voucher only

(So ignore the above voucher as it is not a proper e-voucher with your name, address and code)

Does anyone think the voucher can be used at the self scan tills? (on the sneak)

That's good news
Let's hope that other Lidl branches (including the new stores opening) install self scan tills - where the downloaded/printed voucher (with barcode) should work

That should also stop the "Only two alcoholic products" nonsense in its scanning tracks!

Btw - Has anyone been refused the downloaded/printed voucher yet in their local Lidl?

I'm going to Lidl's after work, i'll try it at the self scan till, if I spend enough, and report back.

We have a new one opened in Eaton Socon this week and it has self scan tills. I spent over £40 today (before seeing this post) but as I had 6 bottles of mulled wine, I would have been out of luck with £5 off. As mentioned, it is difficult to spend £40 in Lidl unless there are good offers on stuff you want to stock up on.

I think that the voucher/barcode would have worked at Lidl self scan tills - even with 6 bottles of mulled wine included in a £40 shop
