I can see me taking it all back for a refund and then have to re-purchase because their cs is generally poor 😞

Not my experience at all, which store is this and how is the service poor?

I will not name and shame until I've been in and tried but last time I had an issue it was pathetic lol
- As expected I would need to take every item back to the store for a full refund. Then re-purchase likely on two seperate days as the voucher is 1 per transaction per houshold.

To be fair the guy I spoke to understood and told me to re-buy them again today and take them back another day/another store lol
Not amazing but not as bad as I was expecting. Luckily I work near a store and live near another.

I like how you feel you can comment on whether £20 or not is worth it to me.
Thanks for the advice.

Why not just say 10% off?
Is this voucher applicable with click & collect orders?

Read terms......

Says No.
Question. If I wanted to buy 2 things, one at £100 another at £50, as long as i bought them in 2 seperate transactions would I be able to use both of the vouchers?

..seems a Hot Wheels garage may not be exempt hmm Amazon deliver free or Smyths collection to save a fiver
How pernickety are they about items costing £99.99?

That was going to be my other question. I know it's a bit different but when they did the "£10 off every £50" they allowed things at a penny under.
It says it's not valid on promotions - does that include Black Friday sale items? I'm trying to determine if a promotion means a sale for the purposes of this

I thought I remember reading that on that promotion on here which is why I asked. Wonder how it is with this. Anyone have any experience?

2 negative comments now but you have previously said you had one bad experience which made you laugh. Is it a general problem or a single issue? Fed up of people slating companies for one bad experience.
Oh I'm sorry. Do you happen to work for Smyths by any chance?

I haven't said I've had one bad experience at all, I said last time I had an issue.

And yes I feel that as a customer being required to take all the goods back into the shop to get a full refund to then re-purchase the goods in the same store to use the voucher is not good. Good customer service and as a gesture of good will would have been to see the receipt was dated yesterday (clearly I've not already returned them) and process it via the till without me having to go out of my way.

So feel free to stay fed up.

I don't work for Smyths but spent many years on retail dealing with people just like you. Complaining that service is rubbish with no examples is just petty. What specifically have they done wrong and why did it make you laugh out loud?

Just buy one put in car and walk back in and pay at a different counter and they won't bother.

It seems to be just off the till price.
I bought a couple of items in the 'black friday sale' and as long as it scans up at that price, they don't seem to care.
No videogames?
Meh.
Decided to vote cold on the basis of those exemptions.

Great, thanks! Hopefully a trip in store will be worth while then

Edit: update: managed to use the £10 and £5 codes at the same till by putting the items through the till as separate transactions. Both items were in the Black Friday sale, so the codes just gave me further money off! One item was just shy of the minimum spend (by a penny), so I purchased a plastic carrier bag to get the code to work. Good luck!

I don't have a car but I was going to do that. It's just the "1 voucher per person" that I was worried about. I mean, do they class the 2 vouchers as 2 DIFFERENT vouchers?

Well I've used the same one in the past. I think the barcodes are the same just check. I wouldn't go to the same till so best to be discreet
"Excludes video games"

For crying out loud Smyths, you do this every time!

Smyths are pretty decent CS wise, never had any problems.
Managed to get the Lego Hulkbuster Ultron Edition for £90 thanks to the recent reduction and £10 off
So basically 10% off.

You could have out that in the opening statement, would have had more effect and heat.

Just my tuppence worth.

Kindest regards
