Ditto, but why are tesco doing all of these £5 0ff vouchers at the moment? i know it wont be out of the goodness of their heart. So are their profits getting less? i always make sure i buy the paper from somewhere other than tesco:thumbsup:

Why expired?

Unexpired & moved to Deals section

Can you buy cd/dvd to take the amount over £30 - or does it have to be spent on food?
thanks

If your savvy - buy 2 papers, get 2 vouchers, hold 2 trolleys & split your shopping in 2 so you can get a tenner off a £60 shop (they allow this) but you will need a friend, family member or loved one to help as its only 1 per customer

Here you go - details taken from News of the World Website :-

SOCK it to ‘em, Tesco. Along with the shoes, shirts, skirts, tops and the rest of the back-to-school gear!
Be as smart as your kids by getting £5 off a £30 checkout bill when you stock up on great value clothes or groceries.

Now that’s class.

This is the fifth super save-a-fiver voucher Tesco have arranged with your inflation-busting News of the World.

Savings
It’s an unbeatable combination — Britain’s favourite supermarket and the greatest Sunday paper.

To shrink your shopping bill for groceries and lots of other goods simply spend £30 at Tesco and hand in the voucher in the News of the World at the checkout.

Just check the terms on the voucher to know exactly where your savings can be made.

The Tesco Back to School range is now in store. So this is a perfect time to get all those new term necessities. Whether it’s stationery, bags, sports kit or hard-wearing school uniform, there’s everything your children will need.

And it is all at fantastic prices.

It doesn’t matter who you are buying for, boys or girls from six to 16.

The range will appeal to you and them!

And with 3 for 2 on all Back to School clothing, we can help you spend less.

Plus when you shop at Tesco, you can save even more by earning Clubcard points which can help you save money on your next shop or even your next holiday.

This offer is exclusively available at Tesco, voted Favourite Supermarket four years in a row at the Grocer Gold Awards.

So simply pop into your local Tesco store, buy a News of the World for just 95p and save £5 with the Tesco voucher when you spend £30. It’s that easy.

Or buy two News of the Worlds, get another voucher, and save ANOTHER fiver when you spend another £30. Or three, or four, or more!

Not had a sunday paper for yonks... All that will change tomorow when I buy 20!!! Heheh

We have used these a few times over the last weeks. Till operator stops at £30 we pay the bill and then she does the next £30 and so on. No complaints at all and we have used 4 at each shop.:whistling:

Actually works out at 16.66% so ner ner ner ner ner

Am I missing something? How does it work out at 20% off? Does it not work out at an absolute maximum of around 17% off, if you spend just over £30?

Hmm - probably brings the total down to about Asda price levels then.... :whistling:

Twice lately the till has spat out a5 off next £50 spend when I've been using these - you can use both together.

£5 isn't 20% of £30? Or is it? :?

It will be less than 16.66% off as to have to take into account the amount spent on the paper in the first place...

£4.10 off £30 = 13.7% saving.

Or you could say it's £5 off a £30.90 spend, 16.2% saving.

:?

I don't know if it's national, but certainly round my way they have an offer in the Coop where you get a free 50cl bottle of Volvic Touch Of Fruit Strawberry flavoured water if you buy the News Of The World (or the Sun for that matter). It's not something I would drink, but it sells for 69p or more in most shops.

If you are being serious, the only explanation can be that you were the victim of one of the rogue newsagents who removed the page with the voucher on. Last week's NOTW featured an advert for the voucher in the most prominent position imaginable on the front page, directly below the red top. It clearly stated that the voucher was on page 37. I expect this week's paper to be equally clear in directing people to the voucher.

Anybody confirm it's in there this week, please? Long walk to the newsagent!

Buy 20???

The voucher only has 6 days until it expires...

That is a lot of £30 shops..

In case it's of interest to anyone, I've just noticed that there's a 50% off voucher for food at the Slug and Lettuce on page 72 of the magazine, which so modestly calls itself 'Fabulous'.

Why not include the paper in your shopping, put it on the conveyor first, then when scanned through, tear out the voucher ready

Helps if you don't do £30 shops, lowers the total a little bit

If like me you go shopping on a Sunday the store announce reminders every 15 mins or so. But with 95p for a paper I would not normally buy it works out at 13.5% for me.

For all you beer lovers, the 3 crates for £20 is back on this Wednesday 20/08,so combined with this voucher a great deal can be had.
