No worries, when this offer was done last time I brought two papers but when I got home realized it was only valid for that day.

Is it not possible to put it in vouchers AND deals? I think this particular very time limited offer would benefit from the greater publicity that adding in both sections would give. Just a thought.

did report it andy when posted :-D

But you do need to buy the paper...

you can use it in Tesco as well. I was refused last time but managed to get £10 tesco cash card after complaint to Leahy.

Apparently Tesco have changed their rules lately and no longer take Farmfoods vouchers and I think that might apply to Lidl ones aswell.

Its only valid on fri and sat. They are doing 2 day vouchers for every england game.

cheers h+r.. shopping day tomorrow.. will get 2 papers n split shopping into 2 as our tesco takes them ..

Tesco will categorically not take Farm Foods vouchers in any store, communication from head office last time out.

All stores accept ANY OTHER competitor voucher, including Lidl.

If the joey on the till says otherwise they are wrong, ask to speak to a supervisor and your £5 off is a cert.

i'd not take farmfoods either - they always offer money off vouchers for nothing.2.50 off 35 and 5 off 50 etc.
just add a little on to prices and voucher costs themselves nothing but tesco 10% or so
think will stock up on seriously strong cheddar and ben and jerrys

reading the MSE thread on Tesco taking lidl vouchers, I wouldn't count on it.

My localTesco (Leicester) took these vouchers last time around No probs

Hmmmm.... Good question. Tesco categorically refused to honor the last one printed on one occasion and accepted them on another. E-mailed Terry Leahy's office and just was not given a straight answer at all other than 'we're under no obligation whatsoever to honor competitors coupons and that this is something that we as a company are currently looking into'.

Explained to them that one store will accept a voucher, another store will do exactly the opposite and asked them for a consistent approach, again, this question was met with the same answer as above.

apparently tesco is at mangers discression.. luckily enough ours is fine with them..

Last time my dad tried to use a £10 off ASDA voucher in tesco the manager refused on the grounds that there wasn't an ASDA in the local area. Much to his annoyance on his very next visit to Tesco they had a sign up outside the store advertising that they accept ASDA vouchers - I can't help wondering if our local Tesco temporarily withdraws that policy whenever a competitor has one of these offers.

My local Lidl has been giving £5 off £30 spend vouchers for over a week and it covers a number of weeks. No need to get a paper and just get it from store - maybe worth checking at your local tills.

That's exactly what they do! Their policy on accepting vouchers is crap. They decide to do what they like when they like and then hide behind "at the managers discretion". Don't count on using the voucher even if the store has accepted them before! Better still go down to Lidl and spend your £30 there. You'll get more for your money as well.

On MSE it says voucher valid Friday and saturday only this week

This is no longer tyrue.

I wrote to HO and they stated that they were reviewing this policy and would update stores with the result, and totally avoided to answer whether LIDL vouchers are accepted or not.

My advice - use it at Lidl,

That's exactly what they did with e-mails I'd sent them as well. Did not give a clear 'yes we do accept competitors vouchers' or 'no we don't accept competitors vouchers' however really do believe that they make the rules up as they go along. Very confusing for customers.

I bought the Mirror today and cannot see any Lidl coupon. What page is it on?

Just leave all your shopping on the counter and walk away. They love the hassle of getting the stuff back on the shelves ;-)

Seriously though we should all make a stand - accept the voucher or no sale!

Not on page 18 in mine

Update guys and girls, Tesco Beduff refused to accept this today, seems totally random at present as others have stated. However.................

make a stand at the till and create a bit of a fuss and Hey Presto!

I don't give a hoot the staff were all whispering "it's him again" under their breath after my £5 was deducted once they realised 8 other customers were stuck behind me at the checkout tut tutting!

If they continue to be inconsistant with voucher terms, make them pay I say!

Voucher refused at my local tesco at sleaford .manager said they received so many last time they lost money. ? how when all those people who may have shopped at lidl came to tesco.oh well was worth a try.
