I am getting annoyed with Aldi.

its present level. Still, a fiver is

heat added from me , thank you

I take my hat off to Aldi that they are still doing this every month. OK so they are increasing the spend but hey that's just good business sense...hot.

Thanks

I am out. Although £5 is still £5 but my one shop is usually £20-£30. I question stretching to £45 is justified by the £4.50 off.

Don't forget its not just a fiver off your (slightly inflated) £45 spend, you also get a number of other money off vouchers and there's always at least a couple worth using. Enough to the refund the price of the squalid rag you have to buy to get 'em

haha +1
we had 3 tills now 5. too many people don't care where their trolleys are and when you end up doing it they are moody people. ours in now rammed with hardly any car space!

aldi is a fast growing supermarket and the big 4 are watching there every step, by 2016 they will own 17% of the market share alongside Lidl.

I think its great they're joined the voucher market already giving customers money off already cheap prices!

I agree, I am in the same boat!! :-(

Don'forget you have buy the paper. Was a good deal but Aldi are being greedy now.Lets face it their stores are a let down as half the isles are blocked with reduced items.Having said that I still use them for one or two things.

It is a massive annoyance when the cheapest supermarket offers you money off, consistently month after month your already cheap food bill. We plan our shop ready for the voucher weeks to maximise savings. We would stock up on non food essentials for the month (toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, nappies, cleaning products etc). It still offers more than 10% off your shop when you utilise this (more than staff discounts at the big 4, and we don't even work there).

I'm out. I love Aldi, and used to buy two papers and do two shops, but even with the extra vouchers in the paper, the increase in spend just isn't right, targeting it's new more affluent customers , not it's loyal ones that have been shopping there from the start. It's annoying enough it's discontinuing its' original products, such as fresh olives (89p) for the new 'delicatessen range, which are full of other ingredients and are £1.39.

I find I'm shopping more at Lidl and going back to Asda.

No voucher in the daily mirror though???

Thanks!

I did my shop last month an noticed the increased spend required and thought hmmm I'll be careful next month I bought more of the basic stuff that I can't get locally but not worth the journey really now every month.

I know it's not possible for everyone but I try and get there for opening time 8am. No crowds/queues and you can buy the reductions left from the day before.

Wish I had an aldi near me

Thanks tomtom you beat me to it. I was there at 8am and picked up all the additional offers excluding the nuts and prunes! Best offer probably the Granola Yoghurts half price with voucher. Spent £62 after all vouchers deducted. Same again next Tuesday!!

The question is will they be sold out of all the good stuff on the vouchers!

it'd be nice if they flagged up instore the goods for which there are vouchers.

on really has to hunt around for them sometimes.

Why would they? That's one of the main aims of the exercise - to get you to look round the store in the hope that you'll buy a few things.
