Dunno the expiry date... will try and find out more tomorrow!

Better than the superdrug offer as it includes the 2nd class ones!

i know this is a very very odd thing to post

but am i right in saying stamps work as currency and you can actually sell them to the post office!

This offer has been on at Superdrug for ages!!

Will come in handy for christmas card postage - voted hot

neg rep - because:
5% is no savings at all as far as i'm concerned.
you're only saving pennies.

As far as I know, Supergrug only gives 5% discount to 1st class stamps:)

Sorry, but please, go away. 5% off STAMPS which are treated almost the same as currency, is better than any other deal as they're rarely discounted as they don't need to be. Why would you neg rep someone for posting something that saves others money? There's little point in doing so, especially when neg rep is for when people do bad things. Maybe you didn't realise, but this is a site for saving money..

Neg rep just because the deal can only save you a few pennies?!
There will be people on here who are regularly selling items on here and ebay, they could save quite a lot on postage especially on parcels.
Hot in my opinion.

My mum always said "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"

dudes LOL?
sorry if i touched a feeling....

edit - to clear things up i meant VOTED COLD, not neg rep.
i didnt realise were was a rep system. my bad.

Hello, it is not a bad offer - something is better than nothing. If somebody (like us here) still send some X-mas cards to elder people who are not in the electronic age, eBay parcels, etc. then it makes sense stocking up a bit as long as these 'carrot' offers last in the latest supermarket wars...
Being a stam collector, I do buy stamp lots myself on auctions for my collection. Just bought a huge box recently crammed with stamps, albums, etc. Normally I pickup the ones I want and can swap/sell remmaining ones. Now, I nearly have always spare 1st and 2nd class stamps. Thus if anyone needs these, I could post free and at 10% discount. I have a bit spare at the moment. Thanks.

The superdrug offer doesn't include 2nd class ones though, so if you are after them, then Sainsbury's is the place to go!

PLONKA! Voted hot

A saving of 1.8p per stamp, so for every 56 christmas cards you send, you'll save ~£1! It doesn't get much hotter than that!

It's posters like this that make me rue the day giving negative rep was removed from this forum.

and this is why I have voted cold. as a subpostmaster in a rural village it riles me that the big boys are selling these stamps at a loss to themselves as an exercise in getting more customers.

Stunts like this are what are killing the rural communities. Not only can subpostmasters with village shops not make a living from their retail sides because of supermarkets destroying the marketplace for the independent retailer but now they are going after the post office income as well .!!!!!!

This whole website that you are signed up to supports just the "big boys" There are hardly ever offers on here that will support rural communities, just damage it by making you shop at the major stores at a cheap price.

Just because this effects you, now you speak out about it? Strange!

You dont care about the rural communties, just yourself

It's a good deal, because I use my nectar card at sainsburys =p lol!!!

Never go to superdrug myself >_

Just bought 10 books of 12 (2nd Class) stamps - saved £1.62...

...better than nowt!

Voted HOT, especially because you can get second class stamps which you can't in Superdrug.

Not sure if anyone knows this but if you have a Costco near you, they have stamps VAT free and have had for some time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry mate, but this is just a tad foolish. The measure of this is in if you can find someone who is doing better than 5% off stamps.

Superdrug deal is good (don't think one can apply the 10% survey discount), but this one gives Nectar points too - though unsure if these can be tripled presently.

Regarding Rural PO's - points taken. The issue here is not so Sainsbury's or Superdrug offering discounts as PO shaking up and closing half of them down. I have 6 that I have used in recnt jobs and near home that have gone. Supermarkets offer the nearest opp. to buy stamps now. Interesting as a number of Tesco's now have PO's in them - maybe thats an approach you could make to save your bacon (more so if you could negotiate a deal on offering clubcard points for PO purchases!)

Fair enough, the big boys might be selling them cheap. What annoys me is when all the post office people start moaning that they are going out of business. What exactly do you do that is so special for a £40,000+ sallary? Let them go out of business i say!

I find it hard to believe that old Mrs Cannybody actually walks past her little rural community Post Office, then waits an age for a bus to arrive in the freezing cold to take her to the out of town hypermarket miles away only to save a few pennies on the letter she is going to post!
