Thanks for the info :-)

I always thought it was last thursday of every month

It is normally the last thursday unless the last thursday is very near the end of the month usually.

Is it definitely a £40 spend, thought it went up to £45. I'll be getting a couple of these

Are you sure it's not the 30th??

Thank You OP

Great heads up op,heat added

It did go up to £45 but came back down to £40 a couple of months ago. If you check back over prior months with 5 Thursdays (August, May) you will find that the voucher is on the very last Thursday of the month. So I will believe this one when I see it.

They've done it before (not issuing the last Thursday).
Plus if I remember correctly before xmas last year they were doing them all throughout the month.

whether it be this Thurs or nxt heat added, thanks

where is the evidence its on the 23rd not the 30th ??? this was put up early a few months before and following me buying paper it did not appear until last Thursday of month!

Thanks will keep a look out, have some heat.

Thank u x

Good timing as Im buying the halogen oven on thurs making it 25 quid effectively.

If anyone doubts the Deal isgenuine or the timing have a look at their previous deals (_;)

They seem to know about Aldi Deals

£5 free food love it Thanks OP.

Thanks for the heads up. Will buy the paper, remove voucher and recycle the rest. Awful rag but good saving. :-)

I find it very hard to spend anything near £40 at Aldi, the prices are just so low overall. In order to spend £40 at Aldi i would have to either buy multiples of products or buy things that i don't need.

Though I'm sure it will help a few people. Hot.

It's going to be an Aldo 8pp feature with the money of coupons

Why would it not be the 30th, it's usually the last Thursday in the month?

can I use the voucher on fireworks?

slimzee

can I use the voucher on fireworks?

Yes.

I asked on the Aldi Facebook page and just got this reply....

"Thanks for the post. Our £5 off shop is available on every last Thursday of the month. Thanks again, Aldi UK Facebook Team."

If anyone has any official confirmation of this offer (link / photo etc) could you please post the details in this thread and then report the comment for mod review. Until confirmed we'll leave the thread expired. Thanks all.

voting cold because this used to be £5 off £30 not too long ago. now they lured in more people its £5 off £40. anyone else notice the package size reductions? what I always wonder: is the staff paid by how fast they scan stuff? I mean good on them but even if Aldi is cheap..now that the majority goes there its become unpleasantly crowded and stressful. where 2-3 years ago it was a pleasant shopping experience

I wonder if this is going to be another false alert like the one that wasted so much of everybody's time a couple of months back?

Well have a look itll be on the banner of rhe paper anyway.. If it not this week itll be the next anyway!

I love Aldi and shop there regularly. However, has anyone noticed that since winning WHICH supermarket of the year for the past 2 years, prices have began to go up?

Obviously I knows Sainsburys and Morrisons have cut their prices, and inflation has increased prices, but I don't seem to get as much for my money in comparison to the mentioned above quite as much as I used to.

Why anyone would bother with ALDI now I just don't know. Morrisons are price matching them now and just look at the quality differences.

You never see pictures of mouldy food on Morrisons facebook page.

The customer service in these places are appalling.

Enjoy the 5 pounds off... it will help you pay a parking eye invoice if you are late leaving the car park due to the store being busy.

You posted that one the Aldi FB page too, you must be well proud.

Just had a look on Morrisons FB page, plenty of complaints on there!

I wouldn't shop at ALDI if it was the only supermarket for 10 miles.

Just look through the pictures on the ALDI FB Pages, mouldy food, foreign objects and blocked fire exits (And thats only the first few). Then the appalling customer service, the pathetically long queues plus the victimisation of customers and unnecessary harassment by Parking Eye.

If Morrison's agree to price match the fruit and veg (Which is all I used to ever consider buying from ALDI) then Morrisons wins my custom.

Oh, and I don't need to mess around getting a pound coin for trolleys and having all my weekly groceries thrown through the tills to put back in the trolley to bag up after you pay for it. I actually feel like my custom is valued at Morrison's unlike the attitude of ALDI's employees

This is all my personal opinion, I have no affiliation with either ALDI or Morrisons and if you are not happy with my opinion, that's fine... you are entitled to your opinion too. I am certainly no troll.

Actually the Morrisons price match is just a marketing rip off. Read a report on someone who spent nearly £80 in there and got 180 points - equivalent to an 18p difference. There's no way a Morrisons shop is so close to Aldi. It takes so long to get to 5000 points (or whatever it is). Think about it, I would easily save well over £5 EVERY TIME I shop at Aldi

Don't most people WANT fast checkout? What is stressful about that? I don't go to a supermarket for a 'pleasant shopping experience'. I go there to get my shopping as fast as I can, pay, and get out. When I've finished my shopping, the last thing I want to do is to spend time in a supermarket checkout queue. That's one of the reasons I go to ALDI.

I don't recognise the sort of ALDI you write about. I started going to one in Luton years ago, because it was the only supermarket near to me. I moved to Coventry 12 years ago, and continued to use ALDI regularly here. In fact, I was there this morning. I don't buy much fruit and vegetable from them, because I prefer to get those from Coventry market, but I have never seen any bad produce in ALDI. Neither is there any time limit in their car park, which is often crowded these days, but never full.

To be fair to them, when the queues do get long they tend to jump on extra till fairly quick... and they don't hang about getting through the tills.
TBH..... I don't go food shopping for pleasure... just want to get it done and get it home :-)

Just ordered my Morrisons price match card. So it will likely be bye bye Aldi as its getting pricey and the aisles are blocked with trolleys with long queues. Having been a long term customer before it was seen as acceptable by most Im sick of the cramped store now.

hooray henry
