5% how exciting.
its mad isn't it that Ebay and amazon offer a 5% code and this'll hit well over a 1000% and most websites regularly offer 10-25% and no body cares

I was about to buy a game yesterday evening for £29.99 and it went up by £1.85 whilst I was about to buy it which I thought was odd, but then this code come up today which makes sense why the price went up

These site wide discounts are the only ones that are genuine. Most private sellers will be completely unaware of it and will not have increased their prices.

Perhaps you have a single item in your basket which isn't eligible preventing use of the code on the entire order? You've definitely got over £50 of items?
Peanuts compared to ebay worldwide.

Yeah, total is £256. Just my luck probably...

Just saved £2.50 Thanks @pantheruncia
Better than nowt, thanks.
I think it's singular item that's over £50. I also tried buying multiple items and it doesn't work.

yep just bought a gpu
Come on ebay. Where's the next 20% off code? Waiting for it to buy a TV.
its cold and my comment is known for you...just dont want to swear

It's pure fluke. You woke up this morning, you probably did so in a safe place, you're almost certainly going to go home to someone that loves you and if you don't that someone is purely somewhere else in the world. If you've got food in your stomach, have a job with a basic income and don't get hit by a bus, don't let missing out on 5% off an ebay purchase get you down!

Hope to see a smile in your next emoji!
3 days too late for me, would have loved to pay slightly less for my tablet from Argos eBay. Hot!

The 20% off will be more than likely for specific sellers only, so the chances to get what you want from a qualifying seller are pretty slim. 5% off still better than nothing, but I guess it depends how much you spend on a TV.

I don't think it's mad at all.

I'd would rather have 5% off somewhere that sells something I really want, instead of having 25% off at lots of places I don't buy from.
Hot for what I wanted.
i ordered pokemon sword and a 128gb mario sd card for £50 thanks OP
Bought something in €. Code took 5% off then PayPal conversion took it back, almost, to original price.
Saved £3 when eBay page said I'd save £30.

PayPal make enough without robbing customers with made up conversion rates.
5% is only half their commission isn't it why would sellers put up prices
First site-wide code in a while and it's a measly 5%?!

Sellers are not affected by the discount, they still receive full price. Putting prices up is pure greed.

While it sucks when sellers do that, I very much doubt that the game you want is only available from that seller?

I'll bet you any money the seller that put it up was a big greedy shed (Argos, Currys etc) that has their own store and website and doesn't really belong on eBay, as they just deprive private sellers (which is what eBay should be) from sales.

This coupon isn't selected sellers so no reason to limit your search to the big sellers only....
5 percent laughable

Yeah its a specific TV from Hughes who are always one of the sellers you can use these bigger discounts with.

Get a card like the halifax clarity and then pay in the currency (reject their currency conversion)

I buy second hand vinyl from Europe and a £21 conversion from PayPal would generally be <£20 on halifax card

Both sites are normally cheap anyway so another 5% discount is a decent saving on any large ticket items.
might be a dumb question, but does this work on "best offer" items
