and if your buying loads i doubt superdrug will have megastocks of them

aren't stamps legal tender? i.e. you could buy them at this 5% discounted rate and use them at their full price as tender in the shop next door??

hurrah! a saving of 28 pence.

exactly

wait til later when we get people saying they use 1000 stamps a week and how much they will save

As they say every little helps.
5% is better off in my pockets than fat cat RM.
Good spot OP. Thx.

Bit harsh! I suppose everyone uses stamps sooner or later though. Using them to pay for stuff is maybe a bit much...

Are they available in any other colours...?

Say your sending something Special Delivery for £7 odd it can then mean just stick a book of stamps on it take it to the post office and get 5% (ish) off

No they aren't legal tender - that's just an urban myth.
Only Sterling is legal tender in the UK. Although shopkeepers (or any trader) can accept stamps or anything they want as payment for good or services.

5-10% discounts to be had on ebay for 1st class stamps. Tends to be bankrupt stock. Stamps with "no gum/off paper" are cheaper, but are technically illegal to use.

Bought 100 a year ago and have been sending things for 10% off the 2010 price!

I think I have some stamps and since a book normally lasts me about 3 years I don't think I'll bother buying some now just because they're 5% cheaper, I'll only lose them.

Handy if you need some/lots, perhaps for small businesses.

Thanks! I have 30 thank you cards to send out for my wedding last week

Stamps are legal tender aren't they?

Errrrrr Noooooooo!

Thanks! wonder if this is cheaper than Costco?

Ideal for those of us who use ebay when sending standard parcels I use 9 fc stamps at a time

Do what i do and buy about £50 in mix 1st and 2nd couple of weeks before the price goes up and hey presto you save 5-7% over the next 12 months.

Can always put 10 1st or 2nd on Ebay packets to make up the postage so theoretically can save up to 50p on a £6-7 special delivery ... no brainer when you only getting 2% interest in the bank...

sorry op but this is much too hot for 5% off stamps!!!!

cold from me

Maybe it's useful to those of you who own small businesses but it seems very expensive to me. I'll stick to writing 'freepost' on anything I send through the postal service and let them handle the finer details.

Just wondering what I can buy with the 12p I`ll save a year if I buy some.

Omg gonna buy all these then I'll have loads of money to spend on cool **** like guns

I agree - I actually think that delivering a letter from Lands End to John 'o Groats for 46p First Class is fabulous value for money. A lot of people seem to forget that. Yes, I agree that First Class is no longer next day in most cases and Royal Mail aren't always perfect - but for what we pay, I think we get pretty good service.

Just my 2 cents, not wishing to start a row. And no I don't work for them, and never have.

Hot deal if you are looking for a quantity.

is it just the normal size or large stamps too, like 1st class large and 2nd class large
