Should be OK. Suggest diet and exercise for a few weeks then this ladder will be safe for you

Saw that and thought it was a typo. Only 1m seems kind of pointless... oO

needing an extended ladder that will get near gutter on first floor. this won't get me to top of ground floor

I've got a step-ladder because my real ladder died...

Ideal height for decorating, putting up curtain rails, lights etc as most modern house ceilings are 8' (or 2.4m) so the head of anyone over 5' tall would touch the ceiling on the platform.

that doesn't look very solid and judging fom previous experience with cheap argos products, cold

It doesn't look to have folding arms between both sides of the ladder to stop the two sections coming apart - is the platform the only thing stopping them coming apart?

I have one of these and the top platform does a great job of keeping it together. I've never felt unsafe on it at all.
