Found 12th Apr 2012
1st time post - 5 * Holiday for 7 days to Rhodes - details as follows from Website - OK I've done my bit and brought it to your attention. Vote hot or cold as you see fit, just hope that someone can benefit from what looks like a cracking deal - If I wasn;t off to the Canaries, I would have taken a punt myself ( and saved myself over £1500 -being the overall cost of the saving against my own holiday and the spends I have put aside which are not needed on an all inclusive )

Escape to Rhodes for £199 per person with this deal from Broadway Travel that slices 50% off the regular price.

The offer includes flights and all-inclusive accommodation at the 5-star Mitsis Rodos Village Hotel in Kiotari, just across the road from a long beach.

The hotel has three freshwater swimming pools, and use of the two tennis courts and a fitness centre with sauna and jacuzzi all included in the price. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also included daily. As well as the main restaurant and bar, there is a pizzeria and a pool side snack bar.

Travel from London Stansted on 17, 19, 21, 24, 26 April; or from Bournemouth on 18, 25 April. For a £50 supplement, fly from from Liverpool on 19, 26, 30 April; from Birmingham or Bournemouth on 11 April or from Manchester on 25 April.

Click here for more details. However, this deal can only be booked by phone.
Checked bags are available from £25 extra per person and transfers are £15 more

Can anyone upload an image - I have tried and failed twice ??
good price, rhodes is nice!
* Additional Charges - Transfers & Baggage
problem is the weather, you will be sunbathing in the canaries, i doubt people going here in April will be, good price but what is there to do if the weather is grim.
Add charges noted in the feed so technically it would be an extra £40pp but are optional and there are some agents such as Holidaytaxis.com who are Very cheap as an alternative.
Bags ?? depends on your preference for travel ? travel light and can u get away with 10kg hand luggage , dunno ??
Each to their own but of course price will vary the more or less baggage u take
Drink and eat till u get your £199 worth and then some - hows about scrabble ?? ha ha To be honest It "should" be warmer than Jolly old Blighty and yes, of course april could be hit and miss ( I've done Majorca in April for past 5 years and all but one time has been 26 degrees plus ) we all take a chance so early in the season but the reviews I read ( thanks to Speedski ) seem to indicate that this is a bargain break - come rain, sun or good ol british Summer !!
Will be quieter, if you like that. No clubbing thou. lmao

I just feel sorry for the seals.
what will be the avg temp?
stayed in a mitsis hotel in crete, overall very good, clean, and friendly, however its no 5 star! food can get pretty dull after a while, we went in october and the pool and beach bars only seemed to open when they felt like it, so had to walk to the main hotel bar for a drink.
I too stayed in a Mitsis is Crete. It was a good holiday for the price, but not a 5* as advertised. Nor is this hotel, but for about £300 all in you can't grumble.
Nice find, heat added, good to see someone posting holiday deals.
Has anyone actually tried to book this. All these booking firms are the same. It will be a special room that has now gone BUT....... they will have more expensive rooms you can book.
great find for the price! heat added
very good price. The flights normally cost more than that.
I don't actually think this deal exists. Normally you can put the package together yourself for the same or similar price with companies like Broadway, but this time the total is much greater.

Based on two people all inclusive leaving 26/04/12 and returning 3/5/12

Ryanair Flights from Stansted to Rhodes = £135.96
Booking.com Twin Room 7 nights AI = £416.99 (only one room left at this price)

So in total it's £552.95, or £276.47 per person.

With luggage it's £316.47 per person.
Went Rhodes last year. Very run down now, loads places closed down and while out walking we were constantly pestered to buy a drink by every open restaurant in the old square. I feel bad for them as they are in financial difficulty just now as we all know, but I wouldn't go back.
Stayed at the Mitsis across the road from the Village. Had a great AI in 2007. Have to say though, the season on Rhodes doesn't kick in until May so expect rain.
Also there's **** all to do outside the hotel - it's way down the coast from the major resorts (if there are any considered that on the island).
Lindos is worth a day out. Only a short bus ride, which is cheap and frequent.
Weather this time of year is very hit and miss , i am cabin crew myself and just done a flight a few days ago where the weather was so bad on the way to dalaman turkey, We had to divert to rhodes and the weather there was the same just we got there ahead of the weather hitting rhodes. You would be very lucky to get a good week but for the money they is a good deal.
you have to add baggage and tranfers on also probably looking at anther 60 - 70 pound PP

Explore the medical city of Rodos Old Town?
Visit the World Heritage site of Lindos?
See one of the many ancient Greek ruins? Visit the local wineries? See where the Mediterranean and Aegean meet and put one for in each? Walk in the hills? Valley of the butterflies? Seven Springs? etc. etc.

The weather is usually lovely from now until October, the risk of the odd dull day or rain (which generally clears quickly in season)

Are you talking about Rodos town? They've always been like that trying to grab trade there.
I was there in September and can't say I noticed any real decline compared to the previous 8 years I've been.
Go to Rhodes every year and have done so for the last 5. Wonderful place to be, the weather is great as are the people and the food. We stay in Lindos but Rhodes Town is magical.
Broadway travel have a lot of REALLY bad reviews. We were going to book our holiday with them but decided against it after doing a bit of research online.

No you dont have to add baggage. Its optional. Why is everybody so obsessed by baggage. Ok in fairness I used to travel with everything and I do mean everything suits, numerous pairs of footwear, hats everything you name it. It go so bad one time I had to dump most of it while on holiday in the States then post some home.

Then I learned to travel light and its amazing. Just back from a shortbreak a couple a weeks ago and with Ryanairs allowance my suitcase was still just 2 thirds full.
EXPIRED Phoned and no dates left at this price- £269 was the best.
I also went to Rhodes last year and believe me it is very rundown.. Such a shame but given the choice I would look at a different destination..

Rodos - is that where all the doctors are then? I think you mean medieval.

lol, thanks for that sir.
Thanks for all the comments guys - If even one person gets a good deal from this it was worth posting - I will keep my eyes peeled for other offers - quite enjoyed it
We went to the Mitsis Rodos Village last may and we had a fantastic time. It's not 5 star but certainly a good 4 star. Food, facilities, accommodation and staff are excellent.
Stayed here twice over the years very nice hotel food was good be careful they sometimes try to transfer you to a different hotel when u arrive at the reception.
when things go wrong dont rely on the customer care team--they fob u off and u ultimately loose out--dont use these unless u have a persistent streak. wouldnt touch with a barge pole!!! broadway travel co voted cold

I was in Rhodes last April and the weather was absolutely beautiful (approaching 30 degrees). Popped over from Turkey on one of the vomit comets.

The new town appeared to be just a cesspit of people trying to trap you into scam competitions, we got out of there pretty fast. Rodos old town was stunning though. If by 'rundown' people mean 'a maze of quaint cobbled backstreets' to wander round, then yes; it was rundown. If you see that as a bad thing, then the sunbeds are thataway ---->

Yes the people bother you all the time, but it's to be expected, it's the culture in that part of the world. To be honest I found the Greeks to be a lot better at it than the Turks (who in turn are far, far better at it than the Bulgarians!).

Actually I don't sunbathe and am perfectly capable of knowing the difference between rundown and quaint (how patronizing are you!!). Rhodes is a bit of a mess now, I saw it with my own eyes as I was there for a week. The old town is nice so we went there every night as the seafront and new town are an eyesore now and no maintenance is ongoing. After 7 nights of the old town we were bored stiff as there is nothing else to do in Rhodes apart from a day trip to Lindos which was lovely. Our hotel was also nice.

As I said, I wouldn't go back.
