Prefer to see them before buying , Too many con artists on Ebay !

Then you don't know how to use eBay.

Just check the product reviews, ratings, and seller ratings. Kind of hard to fake 14,000 sales!

I'm currently searching for racking but as these are MDF apparently will go seriously mouldy within 12 months. Can anyone recommend any ply or chipboard racking? PS Painting/Varnishing is not an option due to the amount of racking required.
Link to shelving now returning an error for me...

Edit: and it's back working again...oops...

Screwfix do one for £25 each that I use several of but the loading spec is lower.

I've had loads of these mdf shelf units. Never had any mould at all. Unless its constantly getting wet then dry it'll be fine.

True. It'll only go mouldy if it gets wet and cannot dry.
Thanks ordered
Shelving is ok for the price but don't waste your money on the bench, it's terrible quality.
I've bought both from this seller and when I returned the bench they tried to send it back marked return to sender!! Needless to say I refused to accept the parcel back and eBay refunded me.
Eating my words , heat added op , just watched a YouTube video on the lidl ones ,
You live and learn , siya ...
Cheers OP, just what I was after, ordered a red one

I have bought both in the last few days, the screwfix one is loads better then this rubbish. The first clue I got was when the ebay one was delivered I could pick the box up pretty easily with one hand, the screwfix one is very heavy and I struggled to lift it with 2 hands. You do get what you pay for in this instance.
don't be fooled people....the screwfix ones are miles better
Thanks rumble & you can take the screwfix ones back, that's something the online crowd , do not weigh up ,
Tatty bye !
A shoe shelf costs more than this

I got a roller and a tray of watered down PVA for mine, three coats all done and dried within an hour on 5 sets of racking. Been up a year, like new. I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of painting and varnishing but the method I used was super quick. First coat or two of PVA soaks right in, last coat is more of a surface seal. I can see them being ok for 5+ years... that's ok with me. If it's really a problem I can just buy a big sheet of Ply and use an existing shelf as a template or jsut get B&Q to cut some to size

Painting is an option...You just don't wanna do it
NOT heavy duty. NOT 875kg. I have them in my storage. Filled shelves with 2x15kg box each for a total 150kg. Legs bow out badly! Not recommended unless light duty application. I would suggest max load 50kg TOTAL to be safe. The "metal" "bars" used for legs can be bent and destroyed by a child.
If you have any DIY skills, you will be better off getting 2x3s from B&Q @ £3 each. Get B&Q to cut 12mm OSB for you to size. You will have a real thing for about £20 and 1h labour.

That should tell you something (about its quality).

They have previously been £25 and if you go even further back, they have been under £20.

Doesn’t help you now but they’ve increased the price and it’s still good value.
I'm interested in a similar thing for a couple of sheds and would appreciate it if anyone had any experience of these at all please

I usually use MDF Sealer on them. Costs pennies. 1 coat. Job done!

i fell foul of the ebay shelving. The MDF absorbs all the moisture in my garage making the shelves warped and poor at load bearing heavy tools etc.
37794849-wMQJh.jpgI bought these at full price back last year and they are great. I dont have a picture of them full but they can hold a decent amount of weight. I have 4 shelves full of 5ltr bottles (6 per shelf) and plenty of tools, so far so good. Only thing I've done is place batton at the back of the shed to screw these into, just a long length behind the top shelf. Adds much needed stability, adds to the strength and stops them from toppling. Really good shelves for the price.
Home base was doing the same tings for a tenner.

Are you referring to the Montgomery rack? It's toolless and I bought a couple for the shed. Best rack you can get for that price. However it just seems to be out of stock all around. Would help if you tell me where you spotted them as I need one more.

Just realised you have posted a link. I was referring to this one, also was selling for £25 in-store.

I opened mine look fine and strong, you just have to take your time putting it together and must use a rubber mallet
Heads up Lidl are selling a similar item (one less shelf; same dimensions; reasonable weight capacity) from tomorrow. £15 each or 2 for £25.

Probably should avoid... Garage Shelving Racking Review - Lidl Powerfix
I strongly advise not to buy!!! After a year the MDF in all my 7 shelves in the garage need to be replaced to due mould!!! Total rubbish.
