Isn't Robert Dyas the store that hates Northerners and Scots? Or is that just Theo Paphitis?

Dunno, I think it is the store that does not exist for many a town in the country.

weird shop but there is one near me so I may venture in - thanks for posting!

I don't know which is more incredulous, the fact most of the stores are Southern England based or that you actually use Microsoft Edge

Annoying that its only valid for one day!

Cold. There's no way I'm buying that revolting paper for any voucher. Ever.

Great- will try and remember

Yes....incredulous...it is hard to believe that all the stores are in the south of england (as in not a fair representation of the country), and it is hard to believe that someone actually uses Microsoft Edge.

adjective
(of a person or their manner) unwilling or unable to believe something.
"an incredulous gasp"
synonyms: disbelieving, unbelieving, doubtful, dubious, unconvinced; distrustful, distrusting, mistrustful, mistrusting, suspicious, questioning, lacking trust, cynical, sceptical, wary, chary
"he was frankly incredulous when told the cost"

The person is incredulous, the fact is incredible, maybe?

Spend £10 in Waitrose on a Sunday with a mywaitrose card to get the paper free.

Spend £10 on a basket of goods which is overpriced as it's Waitrose therefore saving nothing when you get a free paper.

why cant I vote for these on the front page? are they paid for positions?

Valid for 1 day makes this unappealing

Great deal, but this means being seen buying a copy of the daily mail.

If you aren't fussed about browser plugins, then Edge is faster than Chrome in pretty much every area. Vastly better at using system resources too. Firefox is a fair alternative though.

Perhaps I have not given it much of a chance, but to be fair the layout of it is hardly the most inviting.

I can't really see how the layout is an issue? Looks fresher/cleaner than Chrome - and much improved over Firefox. It's really just the extension support that lets it down.
(If you run a low powered computer...then Edge is THE best browser to use. Firefox is v.good too. Chrome is woeful though. Video playback hammers the CPU - whereas Edge barely touches it at all. Memory management is vastly better too. I dare say that with extension support, Edge will be the browser to beat. I'm certainly quite happy using it)

Horrible icons, horrible browser bar, just seems unintuitive to me. Guess I will have to get used to it with Windows 10 Phone shortly.

Just read this [article], comparing, and it pretty much sums up Chrome is the best browser right now to use, and I will carry on using it.

Are they really that different? Firefox in particular is disjointed. Edge and Firefox look pretty similar to me...

I previously used Chrome - particularly for inline translation. But its video playback, memory management and CPU demands make it a woeful choice on my computer (Baytrail Asus T100). It is also pretty horrible when using the touch screen.
It perhaps suits more powerful systems...and if it does, then there is much to like. But it has a long way to go before it eclipses Firefox or Edge on lower powered machines.

(P.S. - we've taken this thread WAY off topic :). Let's swing it back towards Robert Dyas!)

Fair enough, and just for the record I don't have any vendetta against Microsoft, just been used to using Chrome on my desktops and laptops for years, same as preferring using google rather than bing...people tend to stick with what they know and even when I have done installs for people you will find a lot of people prefer using Chrome than IE...I think that sticks and Edge will take something special to change that.

Installing Chrome was one of the first things I did once I installed Windows 10 on my laptop.

Everyone prefers Google search to Bing :). But Chrome isn't what it once was. It's bloated at the expense of performance. I also do not like Google's business practices (or how close they are to US institutions - and how they don't back other US companies such as MS and Apple when it comes to defending peoples right to privacy).
Edge (+ v.infrequently, Firefox) work well for me.
Given Google's questionable business practices, one could argue that it is incredulous that someone would wilfully choose to use their browser

Back to Robert Dyas!

No need to spend £10 on a basket of goods, normally one item should be enough at Waitrose.X)

so £3.40 then!

any chance of stacking?

I won't vote hot/cold but I got a £5 voucher in my local free neighborhood magazine that was delivered yesterday. All my neighbours discarded theirs without reading, so I have like 4 of them lol. Too bad there is nothing I want in the shop

If this is a voucher that gives you a fiver off ANYTHING in Bobby Dyas, then it`s an incredible(_;) deal to be sure. Buy some Duracell batteries for example, give them the voucher, then walk out without paying a penny? oO

Shame it can't be used online. I have about 4 items in my basket that will have to be dekivered cos the nearst store is 90 miles away

not bad if your a southern fairy

If it totals £25 or more then use RDXMAS471 for £5 off.

so it's basically £3.40 voucher for Robert Dyas as you need to buy the paper (£1.60) to get it...

How many vouchers can you use per transaction?
