This is an odd little device but will appeal to people who used to like the UMPC format. It's got a 720p 5 inch touch screen and is stacked with ports, 4 USB, full sized HDMI and Ethernet. It can be powered by micro Usb or power cable. This deal is for the 2gb 32gb model, there a 4gb 64gb model for £102 (subject to brexit flux)
I ordered one as it looks a great little streamer but with Cherry Trail chip can play some older games too

Main Features:
● Portable, compact, delicate and exquisite: It has a surprisingly high-end configuration, change the traditional concept of the computer
● The processor in this chip is an Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 Quad-core with a maximum clock speed of up to 1.84GHz
● Intel Gen 8-LP as GPU of this TV Box which gives you the high definition pictures and videos
● With Dual OS Windows 10 and Android 5.1, we will have high speed feedback and smooth response
● 2GB LPDDR3 + 32GB eMMC, 64GB maximum extended capacity. Easily enjoy many games and movies
● Magnetic connection with 2.5 inch HDD. Enlarge storage up to 2TB HDD
● Bluetooth V4.0 connectivity: Easy pairing with most Bluetooth-enabled devices
● 2.4GHz / 5GHz Dual-band WiFi standard: IEEE 802.11b / g / n / ac, connect effortlessly in a world without wires
● HDMI 1.4A connector: You can go directly to let your TV and Mini PC are connected through an HDMI cable and set up your home cinema
● One USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 host ports: Connect with your mouse and keyboard to help you operate more convenient
● Support wire and wireless keyboard and mouse, flash 11, HTML 5, browser, video 1080P output, decoding 4K video
● With a rechargeable 2600mAh lithium-ion battery which needs about 2 to 3 hours charging time and offers 2 hours of continuous playback, 4 hours standby time
● Touch panel: G + P, 5 points touch, easy to operate

Hey, I was browsing that not 5 minutes ago.
Looks interesting in that form-factor.

The 4GB RAM 64GB emmc version for £100 looks a bit more to my taste, however.

On the video I watched there was a nice little magnetic enclosure add on for a 2.5" drive. Looks dinky.

Yeah I saw that magnetic HDD enclosure on YouTube too. Hopefully it will go up for sale soon, I have a spare 1tb drive and it would make a really nice video device.
It's an odd form factor being quite thick but I think it's a good idea as it allows so many ports

Be interesting to get some benchmark results on the USB 3 port, because some of the tablet USB 3 ports only go at USB 2 or slightly above speeds. Full USB3 connected to an SSD would be great.
Isn't this 'Device' a bit tooooooo small for anything?, or ..... :-)
Looks interesting but screen maybe a bit small. I bought a Pipo x8 on eBay for around 70 quid, it has a larger screen (7 inch) but slower cpu. It also dual boots Android and Windows.
8% off with GDGB code
Nice idea but the 2 hour battery life is pretty under par considering 7 inch windows tablets with the same sort of specifications get much longer run times from much thinner form factors.

The idea of something akin to the Fujitsu LifeBook U820 and Sony Vaio UX from a number of years ago. I like the array of ports but the absence of things like stock a keyboard attachment and the rather ugly for 2016 antenna are a let down.
Shame it's costing us more today than last week due to the drop in the £ value (_;)
From what I remember this is actually manufactured by Pipo who call it an X3 or something, which puts it at the bottom end of their... I don't know what to call them, but I guess living room media PC boxes? They're stationary, bigger and heavier than a tablet with a slanted display on top.

Anyway that's why there's a 2 hour battery life, they could do better if they wanted but this isn't marketed as a tablet. I prefer the GPD Win because it has a built in keyboard but must admit that I'm curious about this product. Curious enough to possibly justify £100 for the top end model.
The Pipo X pictures above requires a power plug and had one of those round hole power plug things and no battery.
This device looks awesome due to it being USB powered and has a battery.
Might just dip in to the missus purse for this one

Yeah I have my eye on that GPD Win, bit pricy though at £230. I should have made it clearer this isn't really a tablet portable device but more plug in set top box type with limited portable options. Nice to have a battery in there though

Their marketing seems to suggest otherwise.

If they had any sense they would have dropped the battery inside by default and made the device thinner with the option to add additional features like a battery pack and the existing 2.5inch hdd caddy so users could customise the device suit them. As it stands it's in a bit of a strange middle ground of not really being good at any one task.
Anyone seen the magnetic HDD caddy for sale?

Can it be powered by USB too? There's a DC 5v port on the side.
If it had GPS I might have been interested in it for the car. All in 1 sat nav/reverse camera screen/mp3

Could use a dongle but yes it's a shame it's not integrated.
If we pre-order, do they take the money now or when they ship?

The power draw is listed somewhere as 2.5-3A i.e. more than a regular USB port can provide and more than anything but USB-C or quickcharge can deliver... so for the moment safest to say no, but if someone could take it apart and replace the port with a USB-C then sure!

*edit* There is a MicroUSB port on the side though, so I guess the question is how much power does it really draw? You'd probably be fine so long as you don't hook up a bunch of USB powered hard drives off the Gole1.

It's a 12V 2.4amp power port.
It doesn't have a micro USB port.
This device on the other hand... Yes!!

I paid by PayPal and they took payment immediate.
Which one did you go for?

I went for the 4gb 64gb model. With dual operating systems it's pretty necessary because android takes up about 10gb
Coupled with a USB power bank and one of these: hotukdeals.com/dea…565
We could have a neat portable set up.
Gone up in price due to brexit and low Pound value

Reading the Idigogo site about production runs, it appears the batch with the HDD enclosure will be produced last.
Hopefully, they'll make it available at a reasonable price on it's own at a later date.
Did you order from Gearbest?

Yes I ordered from Gearbest. Ordered a few bits from there recently and it's really quick delivery with no tax to pay. Pretty impressed with them.
Looking forward to playing with this thing when it arrives. I used to lust over those UMPCs a few years back. Can't believe you can get one now for 70 quid. That old OQO one was about a grand!

Know just what you mean.
Actually have a Sony UX in a box somewhere running XP.
Love the sliding keyboard and nub mouse but this Gole1 will blow it out of the water.

That Sony UX was such a nice little machine. Would love to see someone make a similar machine with a skylake core M chip.

Mine has not been dispatched yet

Being a UMPC fan, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Mine hasn't turned up yet. I received an order from Gearbest today but it was some VR glasses I ordered after the Gole1 was listed as dispatched. Getting bit frustrated now. Might contact them

Mine just arrived. Comes with mains plug, U.K. Converter and full size hdmi cable. Been trying out windows and had no issues at all with screen size. All my screen presses hit right option and it's more responsive than some cheap 8 inch Windows tabs I have used. Really nice build quality. Runs fine from micro usb. I just plugged in my phone charger and was away. The width doesn't feel as bulky once you have it in hand because it's such a small machine anyway. Love it!
