Please could you enlighten us as to how you achieved 50% off .as the price you quote above I find to be rather high.

29.99 for a normal room anyway ?

Really. Checking now, and the HIE Gloucester is £45 a night for that weekend (and I don't know if that includes breakfast)

is there a code or something as your link is to the normal IHG booking site

A Friday and Saturday night over Easter hols with free Breakfast for, say, family of four at the Gloucester room i viewed and £65 is high?? Travelodge wouldn't do it cheaper.

Hi, I got an email as I am a HIE Priority member. If someone can tell me how to do a HUKD post with a screenshot then I can show this email.

A basic breakfast is included free at all Holiday Inn Express hotels. Good for free but not as good as a paid for Travelodge or Premier Inn breakfast and not comparable to the quality of standard Holiday Inn breakfasts.

Trebo, I agree with your point. To make my point clearer, where would you get a decent class of a hotel in a number of good locations for those prices during Easter hols - with free breakfast to boot?

There maybe not a hughe number of rooms availabe, but with a determined search you could get a real bargain.

Cheers

Been a priority member for years, but havent stayed at Holiday inn at all for past 12 Month's or more
as prices have really shot up.

Express inn at Taunton, we paid £29 last Easter, this year its £69.99p!

Been staying at Premier Inn,when we can get the £29 or £19 room deals, plus extra £14 for 4 breakfast's on top.

Just saying 'yes they would' proves diddly squat. Give hard evidence.

Your link to greenroom.co.uk/rac/ discounts is only for RAC members, so obviously not comparing like with like.

.
Firstly the discount is not just for RAC customers it is available to everyone as has been widely discussed on Hukd before. It is not the same as the ihg friends and family rate which if you are lucky enough to get an invite link entitles you to stays at employee rates yet you have to fill in a proof form.the RAC rate is available to all . If you want hard evidence telephone holiday inn bookings and tell them you want to book using the exclusive 2 for 1 rate and it will be granted. without any mention of the rac as for travelodge costing more i concede I should have done my research first just as you should have before rubbishing my link. Also the rate you are using to obtain your price is CHARDON MANAGEMENT L that requires affiliation in the respective organisation as stated on holiday inn website.

Thank you for sharing your insider knowledge of how to get cheaper IHG regular rates. Newer members of HUKD may not be aware of this and other threads on this site show the power of sharing such community knowledge, eg, regular posts on how TCB or powerline adapters work invariably done in a positive and generous spirit.

I welcome constructive criticism, as you can see above when the issue of the relative quality of breakfasts are compared at Holiday Inn Expresses and Travelodges. What i do not welcome are naysayers who contribute nothing, with their dismissive and high-handed throwaway barbed comments - esp if someone has gone to a lot of effort/time/research to post a deal within a community spirit.

It made me laugh when I read your comment " just as you should have before rubbishing my link" as it reminded me of the proverbial pot calling the kettle response.

You do need to think about your thread comment tone, as if you had shared your insider knowledge and phrased your comment in a positive supoportive way you would have received a similar response.

Thanks RAC 2 4 1 links gives me a great price for Glasgow for 2 nights £50 less than booking on expedia and about £25 cheaper than the F+F link. I also have an RAC card so no worries about entitlement.

Big fishy I have no wish to argue with you and if you do not like my thread tone I can only apologise .as my wife is a hi employee please understand I have to post a bit carefully to protect her work place ethics but am more than happy to offer any help advice to you or other members regarding hi that we can.

great deal for glasgow this sat
many thanx

Hi Welsh Ham, sorry about my defensiveness. I come across so much trolling and posters that would prefer to do you a disservice that can lead one to knee-jerk over-reaction.

I will certainly make use of your link for regular half price IHG rooms.

Best wishes.

For big fishy and all you other guys an gals holiday inn have ended the greenroom.co.uk/rac 2 for 1 link but worry not you can get the same benefits as you got from the old link by clicking here greenroom.co.uk/dma…dma hope this is of help to you all.

When I try to use the dma 2 for 1 offer, it shows rooms available on the offer but everytime I try to book it says they they have a system problem. Been saying that for at least a week now !!!
